19.01.2022 As test pilot James Weightman taxied the blue and black light-sport aircraft onto Runway 22 at Parkes Regional Airport, spectators watched on befuddled as a lar...ge group of students in high-vis shirts ran towards the runway with red dust trailing behind them. Wiping his sweaty palms across dirty jeans one more time, Weightman radioed the control tower for runway clearance before opening the throttle to full power. 18.01.2022 Budding pilots, aviation enthusiasts and future aeronautical engineers are flocking to Parkes for the Airventure Australia show.

18.01.2022 Parkes Airshow Bushcat build: This beautifull brand new Bushcat was build during the Parkes Airshow, and as the organisers of the Airshow could not pay Bushcat Australia for the aircraft as agreed we have decided to sell it at the discounted price of only 60 000 Aud plus GST. However, in order to qualify for this 30 % discounted price, you need to prove that you bought a Ticket to the Airventure show ( basically, you need to prove you bought a ticket to be in the draw). If we... do have multiple interested parties, your names will be entered into a draw overseen by Tim Howes, of Bushflyers Downunder. The draw will then take place on the weekend of the Big Muster ( last week in April 2020). This may be your chance to still own this Bushcat at a great price. 09.01.2022 If once normality returns, SkyReach were to organise a 2 week epic self-fly safari around South Africa and we had BushCat aircraft for rent, who of our overseas BushCat owners would be interested in joining us? You would obviously need to hop on an airliner to Johannesburg where we would spend around 3 days sorting out license validations and general admin and then set out in loose formation. Generally such a trip comprises of: ... 2 to 5 hours flying each day Under wing camping (for those happy to rough it) Breathtaking scenery Gin n Tonics at sun set Big 5 Game viewing Campfire camaraderie (and a few more Gin n Tonics) And a whole lot more.

06.01.2022 Day 3 - love these kids! Engine fitted, wingtips on, interior on its way... Another hard day, but no slowing down on enthusiasm and hard work.

06.01.2022 Bushcat 7 day build: James flew the aircraft back from Parkes to Heck Field Airport. Glad to say all went well, and apart from a couple of minor adjustments we should be able to obtain a Certificate of Airworthines within nxt two or three weeks. We averaged about 95 knts all the way back, and this was a great end to an unforgettable experience, not only for us, but also for the 25 kids who build this aircraft in such a short time.

As we are waiting on his custom covers from the factory, we are going to have to get a little creative about what we can get ahead on. Stay tuned for further progress.
