25.01.2022 New NPWS signage for Blair Athol Coal Mine, Mount Victoria. But no signage on Victoria Falls Road to tell you to turn off and park under the transmission line. Worth a visit if you have never been there. www.bushexplorers.com.au/books/ugv1.htm

23.01.2022 Govetts Creek upstream from Arethusa Falls, via Mount Carne, not easy to access, but the beauty of the creek system was worth the effort. www.bushexplorers.com.au/books/bmge1.htm

23.01.2022 Spectacular cliffs above Glen Davis on the ascent to Glen Trig.

22.01.2022 What an impressive view with the cliff line at Carne Wall, via Medlow Bath and Mount Carne being over 200 metres high. www.bushexplorers.com.au/books/bmge1.htm

22.01.2022 The basalt quarry at Bombo Headland, near Kiama from the 1890s supplied a lot of stone for local building and roads and adds to a dramatic ocean backdrop.

21.01.2022 Its not The Three Sisters, must be The Three Dwarfs at Bald Hill overlooking the Grose River, Blackheath. www.bushexplorers.com.au/books/bmge1.htm

19.01.2022 My 9th trip to investigate occupation sites from the Newnes Shale Oil Industry, and still finding 100 year old sites I have not recorded. Thanks for posing Scott. www.bushexplorers.com.au/books/wol3.htm

18.01.2022 Mineral Lease post and boundary between Glen Davis and Newnes. It part of George Anderson’s when he applied for a lease 13 June 1905 to mine for Shale. The Commonwealth Oil Corporation brought out Anderson’s leases in 1906. One of the major mining tunnels from Glen Davis to Newnes was known as Andersons Tunnel. www.bushexplorers.com.au/books/wol3.htm

16.01.2022 The Dotted Sun Orchid's Thelymitra ixioides where out in force as we climbed Mount Carne, at Medlow Bath, the mount is not even a hill, just a very small bump off the Grand Canyon Road. /www.bushexplorers.com.au/books/bmge1.htm

15.01.2022 The tenacity of nature to not only survive but regrowth after the 2019 bush fires at Asgard Head, Mount Victoria. www.bushexplorers.com.au/books/bmge1.htm

13.01.2022 Taking advantage of the rainy weather I finished reading this amazing book (Companion volume to the North-South traverse of a few years ago) these walkers are s...omething else and deserve much greater recognition for this 12 days exploit. Anna Ossig-Bonanno, Stephen Allen and Yuri Bolotin The sheer endurance, skill and courage involved is incredible. Do yourself a favor and read this and the previous book you will not be sorry. I am in awe of their achievement, I wish I could do a fraction of what they have done, kudos you people are amazing. See more

13.01.2022 A recce today to the River Caves before I take a group there. After the fires and changing road conditions, etc better to be prepared for this unique walk. www.bushexplorers.com.au/books/gos8.htm

06.01.2022 Exploring the headwaters of the Grose River, Mount Victoria. In 1900s this section was also known as Waratah Gully and Sphinx Gully, plus there was talk about constructing a dam, thankfully that never went ahead. www.bushexplorers.com.au/books/bmge1.htm

05.01.2022 Pantoneys Crown in the background from Glen Trig the highest point on the Wolgan Capertee Divide. www.bushexplorers.com.au/books/wol3.htm

05.01.2022 This waterfall in Hazelbrook was first recorded by Russell in his 1882 The Pictorial Guide to the Blue Mountains, but just the text, 'Fall', how fitting to have it now named, Russell Falls. www.bushexplorers.com.au/books/bmge1.htm

03.01.2022 The Boronias added a splash of colour to our walk around Ridge Trig Station, Woodford. www.bushexplorers.com.au/books/bmge1.htm
