19.01.2022 Hello Ouyen District Junior Basketball families - we nearly made it to Grand Finals! At this stage the Committee is postponing, rather than cancelling, the Grand Final matches scheduled for next Monday.... We will await developments that will face us all over the coming weeks and months before making a decision about ending this season. We know many are keen to play. Grand Finals are special moments but the world is experiencing its own special times, so we cannot proceed at this stage. We are making arrangements around the raffle. If anyone was planning to enter the raffle on Grand Final night, they will be able to - we just need to work out the best way for tickets to be sold/ bought. Prizes are: 1 - superb collection of Easter treats; 2 - another superb collection of Easter treats; 3 - size 6 basketball [size the girls comp used]. We hope you understand and appreciate this decision, and will give it your support. It is certainly possible to play Grand Finals in a few months' time, if circumstances allow, and the Committee decides it can be done. However, the future is unpredictable and postponement is our best option now. More information will be shared as we work our way through COVID 19. BV is encouraging players, coaches, refs, parents, and pets to wear their favourite piece of basketball clothing to show their love for the game.... The juniors began with a minute of silence in memory of basketball great, Kobe Bryant. This was repeated prior to the Timberwolves v 76ers game. A few items were left behind.
