21.01.2022 @animalsaustralia If you live in a fire-affected area and have spotted surviving animals in search of food, you CAN help during this time of immediate crisis. Here's a handy guide for how you can help kangaroos, wallabies, and pademelons who have survived the fires. . Follow instructions carefully Always make sure clean water is provided Wildlife should only ever be given food when there is absolutely no other option available to them - ie. after a natural disaster... like a bushfire Do not provide food if vegetation is growing in the area Do not over-feed or leave excess food in the area Never place food near roads . It's important to realise that what might be helpful to one species could be harmful to another. So we're going to roll out some helpful guides in the coming days that are species-specific. . Together, we will recover. See more
