20.01.2022 Minister for Police and Emergency Services, Simon Corbell, is encouraging Canberrans to have their say on the territory’s Strategic Bushfire Management Plan before the public response period closes in seven days.
16.01.2022 Thank you to all who have participated in the #Livingontheedge community engagement program and provided feedback on the draft Strategic Bushfire Management Plan (SBMP). We have received more than 250 submissions. Your input will help shape bushfire management in the ACT. The ESA will now begin considering feedback to be used in finalising SBMP Version three. 11.01.2022 Bushfire fuel is present in urban residential areas. Home gardens, tree lined streets and leafy suburbs can become ignited from ember attack putting urban residents at risk. #ESA has a 5 year plan to manage urban vegetation in #CBR to reduce bushfire risk. Draft Plan for comment is available at www.esa.act.gov.au
