23.01.2022 Here is a shout out to all the Mums who have had to postpone the 1 or many things on your to-do list today to just hold space for your little ones. To just hold them, find relaxing activities, sit next to them during tantrum, to breath through your own tiredness and discomfort. Know that I am you, and you are me, be proud of your efforts even if you got sad, frustrated, angry.... Tomorrow will be a new day, and you may get an opportunity to fill your own cup, but right now know that I’m sending you love, respect, empathy & understanding

19.01.2022 What would you like to know about how Kids Yoga and being connected with nature can help kids become more emotionally intelligent? Ask me anything about it! What would you want to know?... Yoga mat from Jarin Street

13.01.2022 Child lead outings are one of my favourites, at the end of this path is a beautiful waterfall. How often in your day do you have an agenda? Going from one task to another? In contrast ask yourself how often you get a little lost, go with the flow and just accept the unknown?... Did we make it to the waterfall? No Does it matter? No Did we have a wonderful outing? YES Tell me in the comments the last time you went with the flow and how did it feel?

12.01.2022 This feels like a summary of everything I have learnt over the last 2 years. Thank you to everyone who has been walking alongside me in the journey

11.01.2022 If we watch closely and pay attention Kids remind us of the secrets to being in the moment and how to celebrate the ‘wins’ big or small they rejoice at their progress. This was a big ‘Woohoo and Fist Pump’ moment as he achieved climbing the steep rocks all by himself without us hoovering over him!

08.01.2022 Thank you Louise O'Reilly

08.01.2022 Happy spring equinox Today also marks a special event for our family, it is my husband and my wedding anniversary. I chose the date for the symbolism for fertility & balance.... I have identified as a pagan for many years and even as the knowledge of the term came to me, I had realised I had always identified with Mother Earth & Father Universe and the natural environment being the core of my spiritual beliefs. We have been extremely blessed within the 7 years of marriage & almost 12 years together, the fertility date worked a treat and we have been blessed with 2 boys we adore and share the same passion for nature that we do.

06.01.2022 Our family had the most wonderful time today, connecting with nature throughout the Tree Trail. Was a bonus to see 2 beautiful women, Marissa from Bindi Bindi Dreaming & Cara from Eco Faeries. #StirlingTreeTrail

05.01.2022 This was a journey that I personally took with my boys and I hope through my experiences it can help others.

02.01.2022 This morning after a few tears I was ready to commit to the final transition in the new Bush Kids Yoga format and delivery. From next Thursday we will no longer be incorporating Noongar language in our Connecting to NATURE program. The program will still have the same stories and most of the original themes, however some will be replaced, and it will be delivered in entirely English language.... There are many reasons for this but the main reason is that the energy flow around this no longer felt relevant for someone being of Non First Nations decent, it was always my intention to find a First Nation business partner to take the program to the next level. The time has now come to accept that now was not the time for this to happen. After spending the afternoon out bush thanking the ancestors of this land for the inspiration to create the Connecting to NATURE program and acknowledging the end of it as I knew it. I want to thank so many people for their support and sharing of knowledge it is something that will always remain in my heart and the hearts of my family, as they were on the journey with me and their connection to this land due to it has grown immensely. Firstly thank you to Elders Uncle Noel Nannup, Aunty Vivienne & Uncle Mort Hansen for giving me permission to explore the seed of inspiration that came via a meditation 2 years ago. I’m so grateful for language mentor Della Rae Morrison, I will forever be inspired by you. To Evelyn at Be My Koorda it saddens me that I couldn’t make more of a difference over the last year and a half. To artists & suppliers Buffie at Gungurra, Belinda at Djirrily Dreaming, Linda at Djinda Designs, Jarin at Jarin Street, Kiya at Kiya Watt, thank you for creating some beautiful products that I adore and will still wear with pride outside of the business. I look forward to purchasing more products from you in the future. To the families & educational facilities that supported us, I’m forever grateful I hope our Bush Kids Yoga family like the new direction that we are creating and I look forward to continuing to inspire children to connect to nature and join us for fun adventures raising mental health.
