25.01.2022 The misunderstood power of the human is cooperation and collaboration. When intelligent, thinking and compassionate people make the decision to challenge the pi...peline of distorted information that pervades every form of media today; then the world is changed for the better. All information must be responsibly and personally scanned to discern and check for the real facts rather than assumed to be correct. The agendas of those with vested interests in spreading fear then become clear. Just like a Tracker following the trail of a quarry, we must consider evidence without applying personal or corporate bias. When we step back and look at things with objective eyes we can at last see ‘facts’. We can break the hypnosis of being told what is and is not true. Our purpose in part is to be responsible to act on real facts; that’s why ‘act’ is included in the word ‘fact’. Turn the television off, stop watching the News, critically assess all that you read and watch; illicit the facts and remove the emotions that result in fuelling your fears. Never let fear dominate your awareness. Factual information, acted upon with intelligence and compassion is the game changer in all we now face. Follow the sheep or fight like a wolf for the truth. It’s up to you to figure out your role in the greater purpose of us being here, now.

25.01.2022 I was once challenged and verbally attacked by a self declared pacifist for being a soldier and a warrior. She accused me of making the choice to be a man of v...iolence. Curious, I asked if she had ever seen real violence perpetrated against a defenceless person? The kind of violence where someone doesn’t walk away? Where there was no happy ending. She responded with an emphatic ‘no’, followed by a tirade of judgement and justification. I then said to her trying hard to understand her point of view that, I believe so much in peace, that I am prepared to die trying to establish it. Are you? Again more verbal attacks followed from this apparently peaceful person. The raw hatred and venom with which she attacked me with her words was surprising. The differences in our respective world views was astounding. In the midst of her tirade I recall her saying that all armies should be disbanded and training in any form of martial skill stopped. Then we’ll have peace. I said to her, that’s a great ideal. Sadly one that would only work if humanity grew suddenly beyond its ego and if it (the peace) could be implemented all exactly at once. If it were not then someone would still feel inferior or left behind and we’d end up back where we began. It would rely on there no longer being any sense of fear in our collective awareness. It would work when compassion universally replaced fear. My belief at the time was that humanity was far from that ideal. It still is my belief, though I also believe we are closer to making positive changes than we’ve ever been ... at least to making that collective choice or of having the global opportunity to do so. You only need watch the nightly news (I don’t by the way) to see that we, at least the vast majority of us, remain happy to be pipelining a diet of fear directly into our hearts. To masticate differences, aggression, hatred and separation into a bitter pill that we happily swallow. That’s a sure way to lead us further away from peace. Until we are all peaceful, have tamed our egos and consider ourselves not so ‘special’, including the pacifists, we need those (soldiers and warriors) skilful in violence, to protect us from the darkness humanity continues to express. Our history remains the unabashed record of our inability to remain peaceful with one another for any length of time. When we eventually arrive at that ideal of stillness, I remain an optimist, I will gladly cease to train as a warrior myself as well as to cease to train other warriors to serve and protect the collective. I am confident many others will too. Until then the words, just because I strive to be peaceful, it doesn’t mean that I have forgotten how to be violent, will continue to resonate with me. I will train, I will remain vigilant. I will be prepared to step in and help those in trouble. I will protect those I love. I will embrace the ideal expressed by G.K. Chesterton when he said, The true soldier fights not because he hates what’s in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him. Blessed be the peacemakers ...

25.01.2022 Search and Rescue Trackers getting put through tracker continuation training on the weekend. Radio systems, antenna array set ups, field repairs, navigation sy...stems, UAV’s, field pack load requirements, and most essentially instruction in The Trackers Code. Wo we are, what we do, how we do it and why we do it. A committed focus on serving others, assisting in the Search and Rescue effort of any search to help locate a lost person or provide closure to a grieving family. These are the Tracker’s tasks and they are generally undertaken without significant notice. A Tracker requires no thanks or recognition, instead we prefer to arrive quietly, work quietly and leave quietly. Tracking is a humbling skill set, there is no place for ego or big personalities. Small dedicated and focused teamwork is the Tracker’s strength. Want to know more? Visit: Www.qrat.org.au

19.01.2022 In response to the question, 'why do you think we are closer to making positive changes in the world?': "The reason I take that position is because we are being forced by the severity of the circumstances we now face on a global scale to confront ourselves, to acknowledge the impact we have on everything around us, and to make the choice to be free or remain in the form of slavery we now call normal. The choice to follow every rule imposed upon us by those in self appointed ...Continue reading
