18.01.2022 David Hayward was flooded in after a day teaching SRE classes at West Wyalong High School and had to stay overnight with a church family. The drive home the following day took 5 hours through Temora, Young, Cowra and Parkes and finally home to Forbes which is now under threat of the town flooding with 100 homes already affected.

17.01.2022 A great afternoon celebrating Christian service in public schools in Parkes. Members of the Parkes churches came together to sing, hear Gods word and be informed of SRE & Chaplaincy activities in their public schools. Please pray for Parkes, for ongoing Christian service and for rain.

13.01.2022 3 in every 4 people of NSW are religious. This is the evidence from the 2016 Census released a couple weeks ago. Every major religion has a larger proportion o...f the population in New South Wales than the national average. The only major religious response that has a smaller proportion in New South Wales is 'no religion'. I'm sure we could find some districts of the state that are 100% religious, but cherry picking data is a poor way to decide public policy.

11.01.2022 Generate Ministries has teamed up with Bush Church Aid to offer scripture lessons in schools where they are currently not offered. Our General Manager, James Fl...avin says, weve done a good job of providing SRE in regional locations, but in dusty boots territory we need to have more innovation. We want to put together a solution that is going to help the mums and dads who want their kids to go to SRE to be able to go to SRE. The lessons will initially comprise short videos of teaching material, interviews of Christians from the region and worksheets engaging with the lesson material. Peter Volkofsky, the new Distance Scripture Education teacher, says, my job is to support people running the scripture sessions in those regions, to visit churches and help them find volunteers, and to provide really good quality resources so volunteers can walk into classroom with all the resources they need for that lesson.

10.01.2022 Following on from yesterday's story on Bush Scripture, we can now reveal the school is Goodooga Central School, about 100km noorth-west of Lightning Ridge. Bush Church Aid Field Staff David Piper visited Goodooga Central School to deliver the first ever Bush Scripture lesson, using resources put together by Generate Ministries' Cheryl Hallinan and Peter Volkofsky. David says the lesson went really well and thanks God for the work that Cheryl and Peter have put in to these le...ssons. Please pray for these lessons as they continue across rural NSW.
