20.01.2022 2020 season done and dusted A huge thank you to the following people for their help yesterday at the South West Carnival Nick and Kerry - for helping run the event and the hours you always put in to help run our club Nick. Kerry thank you for your help yesterday particularly with the raffle ... Angus and Brett - Thank you for umpiring all day, a huge effort and done with a smile and laugh. Tyso - Not only umpiring but sweeping out the change rooms after the carnival. Bev Robson - for being on hand to run the first aid tent. Also thank you to all the boys that chipped in during the day, before and after with set up and pack up. Remember to keep the 17th October free for our presentation night at the good egg. Lastly thank you to the committee and coach, these gents give up their free time to run our great club.

20.01.2022 Sunday 2nd August Game Day Info - Ladies Day You should have recieved an email from Nick regarding this Sunday's game. We kick off against Eaton at 2pm with a second game to follow straight after against Leschenault. Warm up times (for those that choose to do one that isn't an export can) will be decided at training. If you can't make training please let us know if your playing. $10 steak and salad will be on offer and we ask all players to bring a salad or spud dish. Remembe...r we will have a bumper crowd for ladies day and 2 opposition teams so make it a big one. Ladies we will have Champagne and nibbles on offer. We would love to see you out at the game so you can see for yourself just how far we can kick still, and why we wake up complaining about being sore for 3 days after

20.01.2022 *** George Plays His 100th V Margs *** George Pearson the Master Rules legend who has played such a vital role in making our club what it is today will play his 100th game next Friday 28th August in Margaret River!! We invite past players and our families to jump on the bus and come down to cheer on the boys, and celebrate all things George.. ... In case you have forgotten what he looks like we have added some of our favourite photos.. If you had of been at training last night you would have seen the clinic George put on as he wound back the clock in anticipation of his 100th.. If your planning on catching the bus it is $30 a head for the return trip and the pick up points and times are as follows Busselton Football Club at 5:15pm Bayside Store at 5:30pm 8 Hibbertia Green Broadwater at 5:45pm Please let us know if your planning on catching the bus so we can ensure we have enough seats.

20.01.2022 Save The Date - AGM & Xmas Drinks - 13th December We are holding our AGM at 4pm on Sunday 13th December at BFC. We encourage you to attend especially those who would like to contribute to the club at committee level. We are always keen for new committee members, it isn’t tedious as some committees can be we have a beer and laugh once a month and hold our meetings. Following the AGM we are having Christmas drinks with all past, current and potential players invited as well as their families.

19.01.2022 *** Perth Carnival Saturday 12th September *** We have pulled the early game this Saturday in Perth.. Bus times and pick up locations are listed below. 5:15am (yep not a typo) - 8 Hibbertia Green Broadwater... 5:16am - Vibe Servo 5:30am - Bayside Store 5:45am - Busselton Footy Club $30 a head to cover the bus and beers as per usual. For the first timers we generally stop at Settlers Roadhouse for a pre match feed.. Given the tight timing be ready to go with shorts and socks.. On the way home we will stop for dinner at a pub tba.. Those making their own way to the ground please be there at 9am Karoonda Park Corner: Nunweek St and Karoonda Rd, Booragoon

18.01.2022 We Are Back Dust the boots off boys we have some games booked in. Our season kicks off on the weekend of 4th July with the fixtures to follow shortly. We have 2 carnivals booked in. Our first will be the Perth Carnival held on the 12th September with the South West Carnival following on the 27th September hosted in Busselton. Unlike the Dockers the Magpies will see September action ... If you haven’t done so already please register.

Clubs don’t run themselves and this bloke has certainly done his bit over the years. He wins the 3CHI Cup for being an all round top bloke and for his brilliant toe poke to Macca who sadly couldn’t finish it off

Not only is he our treasurer but he umpires most weeks and at the South West carnival basically umpires every game. Thanks Gus for all you do and for being an all round top bloke

07.01.2022 Evening everyone The fixtures for the rest of the year have been released and are set (hopefully). Our next game is on the 14/15/16th of August against the Dunsborough Ducks. The Maggie’s play on Saturday so it’s either Friday night or Sunday again.... The next game is on the 28/29/30th of August against Margaret River in Margaret River. We’ll let you know more details as soon as possible. The Perth carnival is on Saturday the 12th of September at Des Penham Reserve in Nollamarra. The Southwest carnival is on Sunday the 27th of September in Busselton, so we will need all hands on deck. Thanks again for everyone’s help yesterday for our ladies day and home game. 06.01.2022 *** Training Update *** An email has been sent out today from Nick regarding a return to training next Thursday 21st May. Please take the time to read it thoroughly as we need to all be aware of the conditions placed on our return to training. There will be no access to the changerooms nor post training drinks as one of the conditions to returning is to train and leave. Please bring your own drink bottles and Please Please do not attend if you are unwell and or have been in close contact with anyone that has been ill. Finally, understand the risks. Each player will be logged so if there is a case identified all of those in attendance will be required to self isolate for 14 days and the club will no longer be able to train or play.

05.01.2022 Congratulations Peter van der Laan aka Vanders Vanders last night became our 15th life member after an astonishing 182 games of master rules footy. Since joining the club he hasn’t missed a season and rarely missed a training or game. Congratulations Vanders your life membership is well deserved and we hope to see you for many more years leaping in the ruck.

05.01.2022 Save The Date - Ladies Day - Sunday 2nd August To honour those ladies who put up with our whinging about being sore every Friday and for a week after every game we are holding a ladies day at our next home game on Sunday 2nd August. We have Eaton and Leschenault at home kicking off most likely at 2pm.. More details to follow

05.01.2022 Busselton League Grand Final Bus As many of you will be aware The colts and League have made the Grand Final this Sunday.. BFC are running a bus for the league game leaving at 12:30 from the footy club.. There are about 10 seats left on the bus for spectators so if your thinking of heading up jump on their Facebook page and book one

Congrats to the award winners especially those that got the mug for having a Birthday over the weekend Our next game is in Margaret River and our fearless club champion of 20 years George Pearson is racing the clock to be fit for his 100th Game. Lock it in boys and get around the great man who has done so much for the club.. We will have the big bus so would love to see the family jump on board and come watch up play in artic conditions.
