16.01.2022 Found this the other day when I went to swap a hot plate over that never really worked well and tripped the circuit breaker from time to time. I think I know why it didnt work well. Whomever fit it off was supplying a 32amp hot player with a 16amp cable and breaker that tripped at 16amps. Hence the hot plate could only ever work at 50%. The hot plate and oven supplies were reversed which is hard to do as the cables are very different. Timely reminder to make sure youre using a competent, qualified and licensed Electrician. We got them sorted and theyre now safe and running correctly and capable of operating at 100% as intended.

12.01.2022 If you look closely enough you can see Mickey Mouse has been munching on these cables in a concealed wall cavity. Mice are attracted to the warmth of the cables and when they eat away at the insulation the risk of fire is dramatically increased. Having your switchboard upgraded with safety switches and your installation checked and thoroughly tested can offer significant peace of mind!

Homeowner was quite shocked and relieved it was picked up while we were onsite completing other works. 02.01.2022 Went to swap a light fitting over for a customer yesterday and found this. Those cables have rubber insulation and the insulation had perished. There was nothing but air insulating these conductors. If your home was built before the 1960s and hasnt been re-wired it may have dangerous cables still, why not have it checked by a Registered Electrical Contractor.
