I was pleased Mens Shed Carina received a federal government grant earlier to provide health and wellbeing activities to local veterans. Activities include Pilates, aqua aerobics, weights, boxing and more. That's in addition to the activities at the men's shed like decorative glass making, wooden toy making and leather belt making. ... 20.01.2022 Congratulations to Ron, Joe, Matt and the team at Coorparoo School of Arts & Memorial Hall on today’s big re-opening! Big thanks to Shane Cowan and the Careers ...Employment Australia team for their spectacular work on the project through the Skilling Queenslanders for Work program. Joe Kelly MP’s slogan is Building Community, and his extensive work on the hall as a member of the wholly voluntary management committee is testament to that. Imagine how honoured I was to officially re-open the Hall.

10.01.2022 Network distruption advice from Telstra for Cannon Hill West. "Telstra is performing maintenance on its network... with work to take place over 25 days commencing 14th Oct 2020. Mobile service may be impacted at various times during this period. As this maintenance work needs to be carried out during daylight hours for health and safety reasons, our technicians will need to switch off some sectors which support mobile services in the area and power to the exchange. This may... result in some disruption to mobile and fixed services in the area. Every effort will be made to reduce the impact to our customers, and we apologise for any inconvenience. Maintenance work and testing, if all goes according to plan, will be completed by 7th Nov 2020. Site Outages will be kept to a minimum during that period, and we anticipate to launch the improved services as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we maintain the network."
