25.01.2022 Zachary and Shanna-Lee have had to postpone their ceremony a couple of times due to Covid. It was extra special for them to celebrate their big day at their new home in Bluewater. Their ceremony was understandably emotional as they finally got married. All the best to the newlyweds ...

24.01.2022 YES you can still get married on your chosen day Despite the current conditions, you can still do so with your 2 witnesses and your celebrant. The ceremony can be held at your home, in one of our beautiful parks, or on one of our stunning beaches. My promise to you is to make your day as beautiful and as emotional as possible; the ceremony will be personalised to you, with inclusions such as your story, poetry and even music I am here to CELEBRATE YOU!!! ... And, sometime in the future, when this madness is all over, you can have your Big Day in the form of a Renewal of Vows, maybe on your first anniversary If you wish for some more information, please do not hesitate to let me know and I will be more than happy to send it to you.

23.01.2022 Sunflowers abounded for the ceremony of Jason and Donna, which took place on the bride’s uncle rural property in Jensen. It was a stunning and sunny day (typical of North Queensland), with a dog as one of the guests and a bouncing castle to entertain the little ones Jason and Donna met in High School, when they were just teenagers, never imagining that, 23 years later, they would reconnect. It was not long, after their first date at Tom’s Tavern, that they realised that the friendship that they shared, all those years ago, had clearly grown beyond its confines; from that moment in time, they have not looked back. A wonderful, casual afternoon, for a wonderful, laid-back couple

23.01.2022 When 2 hearts came together, they did so at home, intimately, full of emotions and non-stop laughter. A celebration honouring K & L's commitment to one another ... I wish you both all the best as you embark on your new journey as husband and wife ....

21.01.2022 The Farm Plumeria Road in Black River looked a treat for the ceremony of Benjamin and Emma-Lee, with all their family and friends gathering around as they became husband and wife. It was a beautiful and warm day, in typical North Queensland fashion, with light breezes Another love story that came full circle in 2020, despite the many challenges of Covid 19

21.01.2022 The inclement weather of last week-end did nothing to damper the ceremony of L & J, held at the Surf Lifesaving Club on the Strand. It had to be moved undercover and the shades were down, shielding us from the rain and the stiff breezes coming from the Coral Sea, but the day was simply magical ... and the bride's dress ... OMG!!!! STUNNING!!!! Happiness always L & J

21.01.2022 A marriage does not have to be a huge affair for it to be memorable - for me, elopements or small ceremonies are equally as emotional. This was undoubtedly the case when L & M said "I do" in front of 2 witnesses and their children. The bride wore her beautiful dress again and I was in awe of its intricate lacework - she simply looked stunning in it. With this ceremony, following their reception in Bali, which was nothing short of magical, they have come full circle. Happiness always ...

20.01.2022 Again, I have just been so extremely busy that I have failed to showcase my past ceremonies those pics were taken on the beautiful lakeside lawn of the Mercure Townsville, under a brilliant North Queensland sky, when Joe and Christine shared their vows in front of their closest and dearest. Bindi, the couple’s Cavalier King Charles, was the ring bearer and was all dressed up for the occasion. Happiness always to the couple ...

20.01.2022 A "lounge room experience" for the marriage of J & A, with their elderly fur baby and their human one in attendance. It was an was extremely relaxed ceremony, with such wonderful vibes, joining together 2 soulmates who have been through so much together. I wish them all the very best that life has to offer for the next chapter in their journey ....

19.01.2022 Love hearts dotted the lawn of the picnic area of the magnificent Palmetum Botanical Gardens, when M & A exchanged vows... Theirs is a love story that started a few years ago, over "burgers and fries" when, as teenagers, working for Hungry Jacks, they caught sight of each other over the counter...from that moment in time they have not looked back and, with this ceremony, they have come full circle, with emotional family and friends watching on. Happiness always ...

18.01.2022 This rustic, heartfelt and emotional ceremony was held in Tony and Melissa’s home in Jensen - the arbor, seats, and other elements, were made by the groom himself, from his cherished wood collection. The table (and other) decorations were courtesy of the bride’s creativity, with family, friends and pets all very much a part of their big day. This laid-back couple met 17 years ago and, 2 years later, welcomed their son. Their family unit also includes Tony’s 2 grown-up daughters, who now have their own families. What a wonderful afternoon, if I do say so myself .

18.01.2022 The Frangipani Lawn at Queens Gardens, with the bushes in full bloom, looked a treat when, a few weeks back, Callum and Tamika got married. Just a beautiful and warm day, matching everyone's mood, for this relaxed ceremony. Their little daughter was a star, as were her Mum and Dad. God bless the newly-weds

18.01.2022 My last ceremony of 2020 was held in my back yard, on the pool deck, with light breezes cooling a warm North Queensland afternoon. Only the couple and their witnesses were in attendance; A and K are very private people who refused to let Covid19 spoil their plans. They just wanted to be husband and wife and, indeed, on this occasion, love prevailed ...

17.01.2022 The Palm Lawn at Queens Gardens looked a treat ... despite the restrictions of COVID 19 being lifted, it was still quite a small gathering when R & Y exchanged their vows in front of their closest and dearest and their 4 children. Included within the ceremony was an "Acknowledgement Of The Family Unit", accompanied by a beautiful poem. I wish nothing but the very best to the newly weds as they embark onto this new chapter

17.01.2022 Another beautiful ceremony held this week-end ... it was so casual and, yet, so emotional, with the neighbours looking on at a safe distance. All the best to T & A as they embark onto this new chapter

16.01.2022 And the next day, on another beautiful rural property, this time in Oak Valley, Nick and Nikki exchanged vows. It was an intimate gathering, comprising of their closest and dearest, family watching on Live-Stream, as well as beloved pets all dressed up to the nines. It was serendipity when this young couple (one from the USA and the other from the Land of Oz) met in an airport FAR FAR AWAY... From that day, they have not looked back and, with this ceremony, they have definitely come full circle and have set roots in Townsville. Nick and Nikki, I wish nothing but the very best, and many happy years together. May God bless you both

14.01.2022 I was only involved in a Legal Capacity in Jordan and Laura's ceremony which was held in one of my favourite venues, the Plantation Deck at the Mercure Inn. The ceremony was very emotional, and the couple's children had an integral role in the whole proceeding. I wish nothing but the best to the newly weds. And what about the cars???? #butterflymoments #townsvillecelebrant #townsvilleshines #Townsvillebestcelebrant

13.01.2022 Michelle and David were married on the 25th of July, in their beautiful back garden, around the pool ... the day was relaxed and carefree, just like the bride and groom, with social distancing and Covid19 protocols adhered to. Just an emotional ceremony, surrounded by beautiful people. A love story came full circle on that day and I was so proud to be a part of it ...

13.01.2022 The Garabarra Lawn, within the Jezzine Barracks precinct, was the venue for D & B's ceremony when they exchanged heartfelt vows in front of their children, and their closest and dearest. We basked in the North Queensland sunshine, with the Coral Sea and Magnetic Island as a backdrop. I wish the newlyweds all the very best as they embark on this new chapter

13.01.2022 Phillip and Sonia's ceremony, held earlier this year, was moved from Pallarenda Beach to the Brewery due to the inclement weather. The bride, despite the last minute changes, was radiant. The couple's children were part of the bridal party and so well behaved ... and, I, was in awe of the wine rack The bride's dress was exquisite; ivory, with a most beautiful train and intricate beading. This photo does not do it justice. May God bless the newlyweds and their family

12.01.2022 I simply forgot to showcase the relaxed "front yard" ceremony of A & W. For those die hard Star Wars fans, May 4th was the chosen day .. sadly Darth Vader failed to make an appearance, but Yoda was there!!! I couldn't have asked for a more relaxed and laid back couple, who said "I do" with a cuppa in their hands. I wish them all the very best for the future ... and, in the words of Obi Wan Kenobi, Rememberthe Force will be with you, always.

12.01.2022 This intimate ceremony was held on the balcony of the apartment of A & A, a genetically blessed young couple, separated from their loved ones due to Covid-19. We overlooked Pallarenda Beach and the Coral Sea - imagine waking up to this view every single day!!! Family and friends did attend via Live-Stream to share in their happiness; A & A are so looking forward to a celebration of their union with their closest and dearest once southern borders re-open, hopefully sometime in the New Year. God bless, always (sorry my photos are not very clear due to the brilliant sunshine)

12.01.2022 Intimate ceremony held in the home of C & A, with just their closest and dearest, their children and their fur babies in attendance. This happened before the "only 5" deadline and everyone kept a safe distance ... I had tears in my eyes when the groom became visibly emotional whilst saying his vows ... just beautiful

12.01.2022 **** UPDATE ON MY PREVIOUS POST **** GETTING MARRIED? HOW DOES COVID-19 AFFECT YOU.... Since Wednesday 25th March, at midnight, the rules have changed regarding ceremonies - all couples should be aware that they can only have 5 attendees - the couple, their witnesses and their celebrant, irrespective of whether the ceremony is held indoors or outdoors. My promise to you is to ensure that your day is still memorable in all aspects ... and, when this situation comes to an end, nothing stops you from having a reception, with all the bells and whistles, and have a Renewal of your Vows at the same time ... Whatever you choose to do for your big day, I am happy to work with you ... more importantly, I am committed to your safety. Please look after yourself, your loved ones and stay safe _________________________________ **** PREVIOUS POST ***** In those uncertain times, some of my couples have decided to postpone their ceremony to late 2020 or to 2021. Indeed, I totally understand their predicament and will support them every single step of the way. Postponements are for a myriad of reasons, but the most important one are: Guests not being able to attend (especially if they come from overseas) Their chosen reception venue no longer being able to cater for their big day. However, quite a few of my couples still want to get married they simply want to be husband and wife and nothing is going to get in their way... They can Elope Have a small, scaled down ceremony This ceremony can be held in any location of their choosing (at home, at a friend’s place or in a beautiful park). It can be as meaningful and as heartfelt as any other ceremony, as it will be unique and personalised to the couple. Of course, because of the current climate, the number of attendees will be greatly reduced. All the couple requires are : 2 witnesses, Their children (if applicable) A dozen or so of their closest and dearest. As a celebrant, I will take all the necessary steps to ensure that your day is safe. When it comes to the reception, you can simply self-cater at home, or ask everyone to bring a dish. I have a couple of wonderful packages that might suit you. Feel free to call me on 0400 241101

10.01.2022 Beth and Tom’s ceremony took place under the shade of the Date Palm Grove of Anderson Gardens the park was at its best, with the water-lilies in full bloom, ducks and geese everywhere, and a multitude of electric-blue winged Ulysses butterflies flitting around, making for a beautiful photo backdrop. Just their witnesses, the photographer and their beloved fur-baby Missy Moo were in attendance just a wonderful, emotional afternoon

09.01.2022 Just a beautiful day for the nuptials of Shannon and David at the Monuments Amphitheatre in Douglas. Bubbles abounded as the children made their way ahead of the bridal party. The bride was simply stunning and the groom was not too bad either

07.01.2022 "Love will always prevail..." Despite the restrictions, the casual afternoon was beautifully emotional, as I shared the couple's story. I was honoured to have been able to capture some pics of D & L as they exchanged vows ... Happiness always (notice all the pens? I had a sanitised one for every signatory )

06.01.2022 Ricky and Tayla met at a mutual friend’s home in October 2017. On that fateful day, little did they know what life had in store for them; however, they immediately realised that what they shared was indeed truly special and, from that moment in time, they have not looked back... Since then they have been blessed with a gorgeous baby boy. Their ceremony was held at the Jezzine Barracks precinct, with all of the couple’s loved ones in attendance. It was simply a beautiful and warm day and a most emotional afternoon

06.01.2022 There was such a relaxing vibe when Rachel and David said "I Do" in the Tokuyama Gardens, at the Palmetum Botanical Gardens. Covid reduced the numbers of attendees and forced the couple to change witnesses at the last minute ... but nothing was going to stop these lovebirds getting married. The mood was casual, to say the least, and the bride was simply stunning in a beautiful floral dress

05.01.2022 Beautifully intimate ceremony held in the couple's stunning backyard. Emotions were running high despite the CoVid 19 restrictions. Happiness always to L & K. Check out this magnificent arbour

04.01.2022 Again, I have been so busy that I have not showcased some of my recent ceremonies ... This young couple, Duke and Nattarinee (or Poppy, as she is known to her loved ones) tied the knot a few weeks back in Anderson Gardens, one of my favourite venues. The bride was simply stunning in her beautiful gown. It was a balmy afternoon, so typical of a North Queensland Winter's day. Family and friends gathered under the magnificent Rain Tree to wish Duke and Poppy nothing but the very best ...

04.01.2022 A "dining room experience" for this couple. Only the newlyweds, their witnesses and their beautiful daughter were in attendance ... K & L had a calm vibe about them which put everyone at ease, and their little one had the hugest eyes and the cheekiest smile you have ever seen on a child. God bless all of you

03.01.2022 Family and friends, adhering to the Covid-19 protocols, got together to celebrate the union of R & S, when they got married in their beautiful home at Bohle Plains. The groom, who admitted to being the quintessential Aussie bloke, had tears in his eyes when he saw his beautiful bride I, myself, found it hard to hold back my emotions

03.01.2022 Leap Year Day was the one that A & W chose to say their vows in front of their dearest and closest. The weather was beautifully warm and breezy on the Plantation Deck of the Mercure Inn (this is Townsville after all) and, for this Star Wars obsessed pair, Darth Vader made a one-off appearance. It was a ceremony truly "Written In The Stars". The couple's commitment for one another was further reinforced with a Hand Fasting Ceremony. And what about their personal vows to one another !!! Green and white were the colours of the day, reflected in the bride's stunning gown. Happiness always to A & W ...

01.01.2022 It has been a while since I posted something; but this is not because I've had nothing to post... on the contrary, I have been extremely busy meeting with clients and officiating at marriages and at funerals. Despite Covid19, this year is shaping out to be my busiest yet !!! I cannot thank you enough, brides and grooms-to-be, for entrusting me with your ceremony - it means a lot and I will do my utmost to make your day unforgettable ...

01.01.2022 My first ceremony for 2021 was held on the bride’s family rural property in Nome. I have never seen so many wallabies in my whole life!!! They were simply everywhere, and even did a guard of honour as the bride arrived on a horse drawn cart; now, how romantic was that??? Britt and Mitch, who live in Brisbane, just wanted to be married with their loved ones in attendance not only were their closest and dearest present, but so were the dogs and horses and, of course, wallabies. I wish nothing but the best to the newly-weds

01.01.2022 A small but beautiful ceremony, celebrating the union of L & A. The day was warm, and the bride absolutely stunning, as they said their vows in front of family and friends, who joined us, thanks to the magic of Social Media, from all parts of the country and the world .... All the best to the newly weds
