24.01.2022 A female olive-backed #sunbird on day two of building her nest. Turn the audio on for this one. It is made of bark, grass, roots and other plant fibres. They are strongly bound with cobwebs and decorated with golden buff paper bark, spiders cocoons and other similarly toned materrials. The female does most of the construction, while the male vigorously defends the nest territory.

The Homestead can now be rented for one family only (it can usually fit about 3) but if you have a large family we are offering The Homestead for an arranged amount to suit the number of people. Please respect people’s space during this time. You’ll have plenty of it. 160acres. ... IF it is a medical necessity that you need accomodation to quarantine yourself (example you’ve come back from interstate/overseas and you’ve chosen us as accom. OR your susceptible spouse/child needs to be away from their family) please inform us. We can get your needs without you having to leave and discount your 2 week stay. People still travel for work and for some, accomodation is a necessary service. We can offer discounted rates for work stays. Accomodation is also a safe zone for people fleeing danger, someone loses their home, their home is not safe, their mental health is not safe, domestic violence etc Remember virus’s aren’t spread through eye contact.
