23.01.2022 Here are the completed 10mm steering components we cut on our @swiftcutautomation Swifty600 #plasmacutter The customer provided us with an original to copy. This was scanned onto the computer, scaled to size and traced. The outside profiles were then #plasmacut. Using another template and jig, we drilled and taped the holes. 22.01.2022 First job on the new rotary table... The current part being manufactured here required a hex shape for a socket and mounting holes to suit its mating component. So heres a quick run down... 1. Unlike most other companies making pits, we have designed ours from scratch, using professional design programs. Other companies buy the designs online, ready to cut. These designs are known to have structural issues.... 2. Are pits made-to-order right here in Australia using Australian steel. Some businesses buy their fire pits in bulk from overseas using cheap steel. 3. Silhouette images cut into our fire pits are also traced, modified and/or created by us from scratch. We dont buy ready-to-go files online. We spend to time ensure any cut outs are as close to the original image or idea as possible. 09.01.2022 Handle brackets fabricated to fit on 44 gallon drums. As with most of our targeted work, these were made at the request of another start-up business owner. Material was supplied, and we designed a press tool and process to speed up manufacturing, reducing cost and time for the customer. As a start-up business owner, with another full time job, our work providing these parts gives the customer more time to work on building his brand and selling more products. 02.01.2022 Simple and affordable tooling for mass production.... It may be a simple bracket, but if you wish to manufacture large quantities, using traditional methods would take forever, costing you more. Our experience, knowledge and modern equipment, allowed us to design and construct this simple press tool and jig. These were constructed using our #3Dprinter and #plasmacutter. Although it took time to design, the tool and jig were manufactured fairly quickly, and almost halved the #...fabrication time to roll and bend the brackets. Having a custom tool like this allows the client to have future batch work done faster. 01.01.2022 Using the correct air flow, cutting speeds, amperage and voltage, it is possible to cut small thick items using a cnc plasma cutter. Using the @Swift Swifty600 and a @Unimig Razorcut45, we were able to cut these unique bracket profiles from 10mm mild steel. #plasmacutting #metalshop #Australianmade #carparts
