14.01.2022 The Kindy kids completed a Lap-a-thon today to help raise funds for their little school! They all did so well and had a lot of fun balancing, rolling and jumping. It was a lot of fun seeing their happy faces move through all the stations. A huge thank you to everyone who donated, came down to watch and support the kids and all of the helpers today.

11.01.2022 How lucky are we to have this gorgeous bush land behind the kindy? The students are currently learning about the circle of life. By catching the tadpoles it allows the children to have a hands-on experience and make day to day observations watching a tadpole transform to a frog. Big thank you to all the parents who volunteered to help during the excursion. ... The tadpoles and frogs will eventually be released back into the water.

08.01.2022 We thank Maggie Dent for her recognition of our off site Kindergarten model. Kindy isn't compulsory and a community kindy is a great option if your still undecided on compulsory schooling options for Pre primary onwards. It will be a start to school none of the family will forget!

08.01.2022 Come on our cubby journey Every year each committee works hard on their grant applications. Upgrading our cubby has been on the agenda and now all that hard work has paid off. Ready for our class of 2020 to enjoy, play and build memories.... A big thank you to the 6 current and previous committee members, 3 grandparents and 13 ex-kindergarten students for their time, muscles and passion. It has taken 2 weeks to complete, but I'm sure you will agree the end is worth it.

02.01.2022 What if? (N.B. US post....) If they cancel the rest of the school year, students would miss approx 6 months of education. Many people are concerned about stude...nts falling behind because of this. Yes, they may fall behind when it comes to classroom education... BUT WHAT IF .... What if instead of falling behind", this group of kids are ADVANCED because of this? Hear me out. What if they have more empathy, they enjoy family connection, they can be more creative and entertain themselves, they love to read, they love to express themselves in writing. What if they enjoy the simple things, like their own backyard and sitting near a window in the quiet. What if they notice the birds and the dates the different flowers emerge, and the calming renewal of a gentle rain shower? What if this generation are the ones to learn to cook, organize their space, do their laundry, and keep a well run home? What if they learn to stretch a dollar and to live with less? What if they learn to plan shopping trips and meals at home. What if they learn the value of eating together as a family and finding the good to share in the small delights of the everyday? What if they are the ones to place great value on our teachers and educational professionals, librarians, public servants and the previously invisible essential support workers like truck drivers, grocers, cashiers, custodians, logistics, and health care workers and their supporting staff, just to name a few of the millions taking care of us right now while we are sheltered in place? What if among these children, a great leader emerges who had the benefit of a slower pace and a simpler life to truly learn what really matters in this life? What if they are AHEAD? Via Megan Wood
