22.01.2022 It’s been a week now since we lost our good friend and Japanese partner Osamu Yoshinaga. Yoshi had been our agent and distributer in Japan for the past 35 years. Not only was he in charge of Byrne Surfboards in Japan but also carried the job of organising our team surfers while competing in Japan. In both these endeavours he was amazing and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better. We know we can speak for all our surf team past and present in saying the experiences they all... have had while in Japan will be with them forever thanks to the hospitality and generosity of Yosh. Over the years Yosh has become a member and big part of the Byrne family sharing many great times together in and out of the water. Although the past week has been really hard for us and will be for some time we are thankful for Yosh’s contribution to our Byrne family of surfers and that his spirit will remain with us into the future through all our new endeavours. Yoshi we love you like a brother, father and mentor. Thank you for all you have done for our company. We will cherish the amazing memories forever.

During these tough times it has been nothing short of amazing to see how the surf community has united to help support one another. We are beyond stoked to know that 4 groms from the local area who have had a rough start to the year due to the devastating bush fires will be getting a brand new board to get them back in the water.
