22.01.2022 Who doesn't love a good cheese? I couldn't go a day without cheese.... I did grow up next to the cheese head state! (WISCONSIN, for those who don't know what a cheese head is) It is #aussieartisansweek, so it's time to celebrate that cheesy goodness, whether its real dairy milk, goatmilk or vegan plant based cheese. Tassie has you covered! Warm it up, drizzle some honey and some Campo de Flori culinary lavender on top in one of our beautiful bowls and you have a true Tasmanian artisan delicacy! @redcoworganics @artisa.tasmania @brunyislandcheese just a few of the best to choose from! #huonvalley #editas #cheese #tasmanianceramics #australianceramics photo by @becnadlerphotography

18.01.2022 Today's going to be a good day to get your hot chocolate sorted! Temperatures are dropping and predicted snow for Campo de Flori! Being #aussieartisanweek you can grab some local milk and make your own. I'm going to add some culinary lavender to mine and drink out of my favourite Campo de Flori everyday cup and keep that fire going. Stay warm everyone! #australianceramics #tasmanianceramics #tasmanianlavender #editas #eatwelltasmania #huonvalley #southerntrove #ceramiccup

17.01.2022 It's Friday! The frogs are jumping and singing for joy! It brings me so much joy to hear them in our restored wetland. All those frog eggs put down a few weeks ago are now happy frogs. One of the happy sounds of a functioning ecosystem. I know many will be food for other predators up the food chain, the circle of life continues.

17.01.2022 Huon Valley Art and Wine Trail from Friday Dec 4-6

15.01.2022 A few months ago I had an interesting morning with the Huon Valley Council's economic development team, @mtsfilms and @andrewbrucewilson to film some of the goings on at the Campo de Flori farm. This is all part of being a brand partner for the Brand of the Huon webpage. Its now part of a little film for tourism that will be shown to mainland Austrailia city centres. Keep an eye out you Brisbane friends. This is me, our wetland full of frogs, lavender fields and my little studio! You can see the whole film in the link below. Its called "You in the Huon" Thanks to those involved for promoting our beautiful Huon Valley! https://www.huonvalleytas.com/huon-valley-tasmania/ @huonvalleytas #huonvalley

14.01.2022 Some new Christmas ornaments have landed in our shop.

13.01.2022 My basket over floweth! A big day of harvesting our Imperial Gem culinary lavender. A lot of chasing my hat and watching bees clinging on during this very windy day! 150 bushes down, 350 more to go to polish off the harvest of Imperial Gem, our Delicious award winning lavender! A few weeks drying and then off to lab for the food saftey testing. So in about 4 weeks we will be packaging up this years crop. We still have a few jars left from last year if you can't wait. Avaiable at our farm gate.

12.01.2022 What a busy week. As you may know I've been in an accelerator program for small businesses in the agri tourism sector. @seedlabtas has been overwhelming with new learnings! It's coming to an end this week and the friuts of our labour are popping up everywhere. We were finally able to pull together a beautiful brochure about our farm business, which was delivered to the Geeveston town hall yesterday. Then our art group @tasmanian_artists_of_the_huon had a little film made about our art practices and group for @intellinc_hobart while lunching at the @theoldbankofgeeveston on the tableware I made for the cafe. It's finally all coming together..... and next week.... I sleep! Thanks to everyone for all their help and support! 12.01.2022 Something so pretty I had to share it. @eloiseemmett_littlenorfolkbay is creating a new cookbook and it's featuring our Delicious award winning Imperial Gem culinary lavender in this Lavender Honey Granola. Looks fabulous in one of my handthrown bowls too! Shes running a great competition over on her page for a prepurchase of the Tasmanian Pantry cookbook 2 and then you go into a draw to stay at her fabulous accommodation chalets. The new cookbook will be filled with lovely photos like this one by Eloise. Dont miss out. #lavender #culinarylavender #huonvalley #deliciousawards2020 #delicious #knowyourproducer #editas #brandtasmania #buysomethingtasmanian

12.01.2022 Oh my goodness! I finally got to Martas to meet the new babies. I had to take some culinary lavender and olive branches down as baby gifts for the 2 little girls Marta named Olive and Lavender. Talk about beautiful pure joy! Nothing like sitting in the grass with 4 curious baby goats. Turns out they love olive leaves....I was repaid for my gifts with a back massage from baby goat lavender. Who' can say that! @life.at.43degrees.south #huonvalley #babygoats #brandtasmania

10.01.2022 Chef Eloise Emmett from eloiseemmett.com has been having so much fun creating lovely dishes with our culinary lavender. Most people think of using it in a sweet dish, but Eloise has been using it in a few savoury dishes. She's finding the lightness in the flavour of the lavender is pairing nicely with seafood. Her guest were treated to this lovely parrot fish cooked with lavender and lemon. Lucky guest! Check out her page and see all creative things she's been making with our delicious. Australia award winning lavender. If you want to try it yourself you can order from our webpage or visit us at the farm. photo by Eloise Emmett #knowyourfarmer #knowyourproducer #deliciousawards2020 #delicious #editas #huonvalley #brandtasmania #eatwelltasmania #biysomethingtasmanian

09.01.2022 Sunset on the farm tonight. A few bees still working hard as the night creatures start to emerge. #huonvalley #huonvalleytas #lavenderfield

09.01.2022 My everyday inspiration. We have been cutting up a big tree that came down when this piece of bark reviled itself to me curled up in the piles. It has become a beautiful opportunity in to an artistic window. With all the little wrens flitting around I'm imagining how this will become a raku sculpture to perch on the farm. Magical nature! #tasmanianmakers #tasmanianceramics #huonvalley #brandtasmania

09.01.2022 So thrilled to see this beautiful heron visiting our wetland. Even if he is eating my frogs! Oh well, that's what its all about, creating habitat for all. Glad to see him enjoying it here with all the other birds. #wetlands #wetlandbirds #wetlandsconservation #ramsar #huonvalley

09.01.2022 Finally our friends from Queensland could come down for the belated birthday celebrations that were planned while we were all in lockdown. We had some lovely dinner in Hobart @oldwharfrestaurant and then a day out at the farm. I was gifted these lovely birthday lillys that look perfect in my vase. I've been enjoying them all week and their beautiful aroma. This has inspired me to make more vases that will hopefully be ready for next weekends Art and Wine Trail. Thanks for a beautiful weekend @karl.aldrich and Leanne..... the little wrens love my dragon fly!

08.01.2022 SPRING is here and I just love it when glaze day alinges with a beautiful spring day. I can be working outside listening to the frogs and birds singing, the fairy wrens flitting around me and ducks swimming in the dam. Best office in Tasmania.

08.01.2022 I love these little surprises in my day. For weeks the fairy wrens have been tweeting at me as I work in the lavender field. Today I find out why. Found this little wrens nest while cutting the Imperial Gem. It's so beautifully tucked in the bush and lined with fluffy feathers. What a way to be born into the world! Rocked by gentle winds in the aroma of lavenders and sung buzzing bumble bees lullaby. Those wrens know how to live. We are so lucky in Tasmania to experience this beautiful nature. #lavenderfield #birdnest #huonvalley #lavender

08.01.2022 My heart hurts..... this is Seattle today, My old home. Never would I have believed these fires would take hold around a place called the emerald city! A place where it rained 9 months of the year. A place lush and green with rain forest. Now on fire. To say we have a climate emergency is an understatement! All the places I used to love for hiking, mt. biking, and snowboarding in Colorado and the West Coast now under threat. What will it take to turn this around? As there appears to be no strong leadership it will be up to us as individuals.

07.01.2022 This left me speechless. Its was hard to watch, but well worth it and then decide what you can do. A lot of one person efforts can make a difference.

07.01.2022 We are doing things a bit different this year on the farm. You know... one of those Covid pivots! So we have come up with a new workshop that will still allow us to carry on with smaller participant numbers in a Covid safe way. We've just listed these new Christmas Wreath workshops on Eventbrite for December 12 +13, 19 +20, 2020 https://www.eventbrite.com.au/o/campo-de-flori-17849902754

07.01.2022 FRENCH LAVENDER WANDS | I've been hand weaving these lavender wands from our fresh grosso lavender. They can only be made when the lavender is freshly cut as the stems need to bend and be plyable. I have a few of these available at our farm gate shop this weekend. Would make a colourful smell to any Easter basket. They can be used to carry in your bag to keep fresh, or keep by the bedside and give gentle rub between your fingers to release a relaxing scent. Hopefully I'll get a chance to make some more before all the lavender cut. #huonvalley #lavender #flowerfarm #lavenderfarm

06.01.2022 Delicious Magazine has put together a list of fabulous products from Tasmanian Producers.. Featuring our Beautiful Culinary Lavender "Imperial Gem" what a great time to promote this during the #aussieartisanweek ! Thanks delicious. 05.01.2022 Just popped out of the kiln. I've been working on some new vases for our lavender harvest. In 2 more months it will be lavender season on the farm and I hope to have a supply of vases for the fresh lavender bunches. #tasmanianlavender #huonvalley

03.01.2022 It's AUSSIE ARTISAN WEEK! What a week to celebrate all we do here on the farm! From saffron, culinary lavender, extra virgin olive oil and yes, even the ceramics! We are proud small artisan producers focusing on QUALITY, not quantity. You may have to wait for it, but know that all we do is done with the environment as a top priority and sometimes that means things take a little longer to do. This year we are fermenting olives, yes it takes a year, but hopefully next year at this time I'll be serving up olives in these dishes I make just for that celebration! Share some of the love with your local artisans this week, whether that be food or art. Photo by @becnadlerphotography #editas #huonvalley #knowyourproducer #delicious #hobartandbeyond #brandtasmania #aussieartisanweek

02.01.2022 I remember how I excited I was in 2014 to walk by the window of Aspect Design at Salamanca in Hobart and see my handmade Ceramic Christmas ornaments in the window adorning the Christmas tree in the gallery. When we were visitors to Hobart, we would shop and buy art here and I dreamed of the day they would sell my work here. I was so overjoyed when they agreed to take my creations and that I was settling into my new home with a bright future and being represented by a gallery ...that showcased the best of Tasmanian artist and makers. The owners of this gallery also owned Gallery Salamanca and featured my ceramics and lavender products in both of their galleries. Its been a great place for locals and visitors to find not only my work but lots of what Tasmania has to offer from its local artists and makers. Princess Mary of Denmark actually purchased some of my work from Aspect! I have received personal messages from visitors who found my work there and wanted to contact me. Now it is with deep sadness that I find out that these two galleries will soon be closing their doors permanently. I would like to Thank Deb and Mitch for their strong commitment to the arts and artist over the years we have know them. They have been strong advocates for the arts at Salamanca and donate time and money to the arts precinct. They are having an end of lease sale, so now would be the last time to support them, the long serving staff, and these businesses, and will be the last time you will see my ornaments adorning the Christmas tree in these two galleries'. Its hard to imagine this Salamanca arts precinct without these two galleries. There will be a gapping hole in the SOUL of this arts precinct when they are gone. All the best to the staff and Deb and Mitch in their new journeys. I will certainly miss you all.... Design Tasmania Tasmanian Southern Trove Tasmania SeedLab Tasmania Sprout Tasmania

Guess what these new beautiful girls are named? You guessed it.......meet Lavender and Olive.... Beautiful Campo de Flori girls to add to her herd. I can't wait to meet them.

01.01.2022 A beautiful evening for cutting lavender. Sure beats the heat of a few days ago! The bees and I enjoying this calmness. #huonvalleytas #lavender #lavenderfarm #lavenderfield #lavenderflowers

01.01.2022 Campo de Flori has some olive workshops coming up every Saturday in June, but if you can't make one here, our friends at SeedLab Tasmania have this one on offer in April thats sure to be full of information
