16.01.2022 "Some nice ******** trying to derail my day. They probably didn't budget on the driver doing a walking track patrol though!" On the Byron tracks. Seriously what a stupid thing to do

16.01.2022 Just look at this Master Plan for the Casino to Bentley section of the Rail Trail.

16.01.2022 Reminder: National Feral Cat Management Survey Researchers from RMIT University are looking for volunteers to participate in a survey that asks questions about feral cat management in Australia. The information collected will help to generate a better understanding of feral cat management across the nation, including how to make improvements. The online survey should take around 5 to 10 minutes to complete and will consist primarily of short, multiple-choice questions ab...out feral cats and efforts taken to manage them. Participation is voluntary and, if you choose to participate, you will remain completely anonymous. 12.01.2022 OK Byron Shire Council, I think it is time for you to address this. Todays straw has broken the camel's back. School buses are not getting through, medical prof...essionals are not getting through, businesses are losing money everywhere, etc, etc, etc. We understand that there have been works planned for now and that we have been duly notified of them, however we HAVE NOT been notified about the closure of a public road (St Helena) for a private commercial purpose. In fact, we have been very poorly informed about the impacts these film crews would have on us. It's not funny, it's not ok and you have put a great deal of stress on many of your constituents. What benefits did our Council receive for these unprecedented permissions? I will be pushing this matter as far as I can until we (you know, the ones you are meant to represent?) get some very clear answers. Did the financial benefit to our Shire outweigh the ongoing financial and wellbeing LOSS it has meant for so many of us who live here? Please quantify it for us, because people are losing their minds over this.

06.01.2022 Old early 1920’s shot of the Main Beach, if you look carefully, it appears that erosion at Clark’s was happening back then also, what goes around comes around I guess. That 2 story building in the background was the original Great Northern Hotel which burned down when I was very young, I can remember running home from school from St. Finbar’s, crying because from where I could see it looked like it was our place in Fletcher St. (Thanks to Max Pendergast.)
