12.01.2022 Covid19 UPDATE: The Covid restrictions will be lifted next week from Level 3 to Level 2. Dentists are will be able to perform most procedures, providing strict cross infection control procedures are in place. We are not able to do any aerosol generating work, which includes using the ultrasonic cleaner to remove calculus, or complex surgical removal of teeth. All other procedures, including fillings and cleaning of teeth can be done safely, and may include the use of a rubber dam. Check Google for our up to date opening and closing times. MY NAME IS ALICE SMITH AND I WAS SITTING IN THE WAITING ROOM FOR MY FIRST APPOINTMENT WITH A NEW DENTIST. I NOTICED HIS DENTAL DIPLOMA, WHICH BORE HIS FULL NAME. SUDDENLY, I REMEMBERED A TALL, HANDSOME, DARK HAIRED BOY WITH THE SAME NAME HAD BEEN IN MY SECONDARY SCHOOL CLASS SOME 30-ODD YEARS AGO. ... COULD HE BE THE SAME GUY THAT I HAD A SECRET CRUSH ON, WAY BACK THEN? UPON SEEING HIM, HOWEVER, I QUICKLY DISCARDED ANY SUCH THOUGHT. THIS BALDING, GREY HAIRED MAN WITH THE DEEPLY LINED FACE WAS FAR TOO OLD TO HAVE BEEN MY CLASSMATE. AFTER HE EXAMINED MY TEETH, I ASKED HIM IF HE HAD ATTENDED MORGAN PARK SECONDARY SCHOOL . 06.01.2022 Bytes Dental has restricted our operations in line with the Level 2 recommendations of the ADA. We are open to see patients who are low risk for Covid19, and have a real dental need (active disease, pain, swelling, injuries). We are requesting cosmetic, elective and routine dental cleaning appointments be postponed until May or June. This will allow us to focus on the urgent cases and also minimise the generation of aerosol droplets. Our dentists and staff cannot physically d...istance themselves from any potential aerosols generated and this harm minimisation strategy is more effective if we focus only on the needy. If you are unwell or at high risk for Covid19 (over 70 and/ or with pre-existing medical conditions) and have an urgent dental need please inform us by phone so arrangements can be made. 66247068 We are open 6 days per week with Goonellabah closing on Tuesdays for a while, and possibly other days depending on demand.
