20.01.2022 UHI is an urban area that is significantly warmer than its surrounding rural areas due to modification of land surfaces. It can affect our living environment around urban cities. Paras Sidiqui Paras Paras, one of our PhD students, has completed her final-stage seminar with title Cities from space: urban landscape modification and urban heat island (UHI) and ecological resilience on 16 November 2018. Paras study potentially can reveal the effect of UHI on Australian big cities such as Sydney or Melbourne. Big congratulations to Paras and good luck with her thesis submission.
