24.01.2022 A quick 3 circuits and a beautiful sunset at Caboolture.

24.01.2022 With many members away for the holiday break theres no club flying at Caboolture this week. But that doesnt mean no flying at all. Two members, Bert and Speed...y, self-launched for three hours of soaring on Boxing Day. Then Speedy came back yesterday for another three hours in his beautiful K-14 - with time left over to give it a good wash at his hangar. What an inspiration for all members when we resume club flying on 4 January! See more

18.01.2022 TAVAS ran poppy making workshops back in September and those who attended created more than 10% of the number requested by the QLD government (57,705 in total,... representing one for each Queenslander who enlisted in WWI). The finished product was quite impressive. Thanks again to all of you who helped make this happen. See more

15.01.2022 Well its boxing day here in the Southern Hemisphere, but Santa is still on his rounds, which children around the world can track! But did you know the story ab...out how this famous service started, thanks to one child, a wrong phone number and a by-the-book officer? https://www.washingtonpost.com//child-calling-santa-reac/

14.01.2022 Received this photo from a neighbour of the airfield. A lovely photo through her telescope.

12.01.2022 This month marks 100 years since the Vickers Vimy G-EAOU, after flying from London to Australia, flew from Darwin to Adelaide via the East Coast. Some pilots in... modern aircraft are recreating that trip this month and are arriving at Caboolture on Thursday. Huge thanks to Kevin OBrien, who mowed this massive 100 at the end of Runway 12 to greet them. Details of their flights here - www.facebook.com/southernsunjourney See more

12.01.2022 Beautiful weather for a flight today. Visibility goes on for miles and miles and miles. Went up to two and a half thousand and you can see from Morton to Brisba...ne to Mt Mee to Caloundra just by turning your head. And Siegy has joined the select bunch of workmates whove been flying in the gyroplane. Top morning See more

09.01.2022 About to depart Caboolture for Anzac Day flypasts

06.01.2022 Landed the Fokker Triplane at Brisbane International Airport this afternoon, for the Aviation Expo being held tomorrow, Saturday, all day. This is a major event... open to the public. If youre in or around Brisbane, make sure you get to this. You can find the Tripe parked between a T-28 Trojan and the only T-34 Mentor in Australia! Many other military, airline and interesting aircraft will be on display. See more

04.01.2022 Some of you might know Mark or have met him. He was a regular at Caboolture. The airfield was one of his go to places for stories and photos when he was with AOPA and more recently RAAUS. Many of Cabooltures aircraft, people and organizations have been featured in his articles over the years. He will be missed.

03.01.2022 With the easing of restrictions in QLD next month, TAVAS museum will reopen on Friday 10th July, after having been shut for almost 4 months. There will be 2 new aircraft on display. More details to come. A great opportunity to come and view this unique collection.
