24.01.2022 Season Recommencement Following the SCHA Board meeting Wednesday night the SCHA Board is very pleased to advise we will be recommencing our hockey season. ...COMPETITION RECOMMENCEMENT Weekend of the 11th and 12th of July (in line with Stage 3 of the Queensland Government road map) Extended until the last weekend of September 26th of September (senior grand finals) 19th September (junior grand finals) . TRAINING RECOMMENCEMENT From 12th June (in line with Stage 2 of the Queensland Government road map) We know there will still be plenty of questions around the season and the survey highlighted that financial and health were key concerns for our members. Please refer to your email address used to register for hockey for more detailed information along with Frequently Asked Questions where some of those questions may be answered. The email also includes a summary of the survey results. Brent and the competitions sub-committee have already looked at different scenarios for the modified season but will now commence working on a more detailed season plan. It is vital that you let your club know if you are returning to play so that they can work out their team numbers to allow a draw to be completed. The turf and facilities remain closed until Stage 2 and at this time the office is still closed. The SCHA Board will continue to provide our members with any updates via club secretaries, Facebook and the website home page with any significant announcements to also be communicated via direct emailing. We again thank you for your understanding and patience during these times and on behalf of the SCHA Board, we will see you all very soon. 19.01.2022 Congratulations to our division 3 ladies Cabdore team who won their grand final on Saturday! The ladies all played a great game to win convincingly against a strong Flinders outfit in the first game of the day. Another of our Cougar's family was in action in the division 2 men's grand final. Unfortunately his minor premiers Nambour team were not victorious on the day.

19.01.2022 Attention SCHA Members SCHA Board wish to confirm the ratified dates and info for the 2020 season: SCHA Junior and Senior fixtures will commence the weekend of ...Friday 13/03/2020 to Sunday 15/03/2020. SCHA Hook in2 Hockey carnivals (Friday nights) will commence Friday 24th April 2020, Hin2H will run every Friday night (during school holidays may differ) from 5pm to 6pm until mid August 2020. Grand final Day Junior - 29/08/2020. Grand Final Day Senior - 05/09/2020. First 4 weeks of fixtures will be released Friday 28/02/2020, rest of draw will follow soon after. 18.01.2022 The Cougars season got off to a good start last night with a 1 nil win by our Div 3 ladies even though they were undermanned. The under 15 boys have also made a great start this morning, up 5 nil at half time.

14.01.2022 What a season this has been! Apart from the obvious changes to our season, there has been a lot going on at the Cougars this year. Thanks to much hard work and dedication from our amazing President, Lisa Devine; our equally amazing treasurer, Chris Horne and incredibly dedicated member, Jodie Horne, our club and clubhouse is looking incredible and ready to take on the 2021 season. This fabulous trio have worked hard to secure us much needed clubhouse improvements as wel...l as financial grants to assist the club. 13.01.2022 Free Turf Time With the season finishing and plenty of members still wanting to have a hit, SCHA would like to invite members to free access to the turf until... the turf replacement commences (date still TBA). Turf can be accessed: Any day 7am to 6pm Must be booked via Bruce 5445 2117 or [email protected]) to confirm for when you wish to use. Requirements are: - Bruce will provide details on access for weekends and afternoons - Lock gates if you are the last person to leave - Hoses can be used to water sections being used such as circles. 07.01.2022 The Cougars were well represented in the Sunshine Coast finals last weekend. Unfortunately, the under 15 boys were hit with several injuries just prior to the finals and an undermanned team lost their semi against a strong Rebels team. Several other young Cougars were also in action playing for other clubs. Congratulations to our under 12 girls playing with Maroochydore who have progressed to the grand final this Saturday. Also to our boys playing with the under 18 Barn...arians who will front up against another member of the Cougar family playing for Nambour in the grand final. Good luck to all players this weekend! U15Bs Coach - David Carlson Thank you to everyone who submitted an expressions of interest. We have sufficient interest and we have confirmed at least one team in each boys and girls. Nominations are now extended until 7th of September for any U15 Boys and Girls interested in playing. 02.01.2022 Last Friday our Hook in2 Hockey players finally got the chance to put all their practice into action when they played against Caloundra. There were fantastic skills and wonderful teamwork shown by all our players. It was a great way to finish our season.
