23.01.2022 10 DAYS TO GO! #ChocolateRun37 Www.cadburymarathon.com.au

23.01.2022 A message from Athletics Tasmania: The 2021 Cadbury Marathon has been postponed until Easter Sunday, 4th April. With more than a third of participants travelling from interstate and overseas, and uncertainty around border restrictions and mass gatherings, a delayed event was deemed most suitable to ensure the safety of participants and our community. Athletics Tasmania will continue to work hard to ensure the 38th edition of the event is as popular and successful as ever. ...We’re excited about the fun we can have over the Easter weekend, as well as welcoming plenty of people to Tasmania. Entries will open January 11. Read more at https://cadburymarathon.com.au/cadbury-marathon-makes-east/ See more

19.01.2022 Our race record holder Hanny Allston has asked us if we wanted to help with her #RUNFORWILDLIFE #PLAYWILDER this Sunday. It was a simple decision for us. So if you're running with us this Sunday at #ChocolateRun37, or running from your home, you can also run for our wildlife that are being so heavily impacted with the bushfires across Australia at present. SPREAD THE WORD AS FAR AND WIDE AS YOU CAN! LET US TAKE THIS GLOBAL! Donate below. https://www.facebook.com/donate/1011136092594348/

16.01.2022 In 7 days from now, it'll be all over. Care to share your goal for #ChocolateRun37? Entries still open at www.cadburymarathon.com.au

14.01.2022 CORRECTION: Yesterday we announced that Anne Blockley won our first ever Best Age Rated Time (BART) award. It seems the call was made too early and we were wrong. The actual winner was Peter Hall from the Gold Coast. In the 65-69 age group, Peter ran 2:58:56 to run an age equivalent of 2:14:26, which is an outstanding performance. Congratulation Peter on winning our first ever BART award.

10.01.2022 WEATHER AND AIR QUALITY: With around 900 people travelling to Tasmania for this years event, we've had a few queries given the bushfires in Australia. While much of the populated areas in Australia are suffering from bushfires, fortunately the air in Hobart is largely unaffected. We've been monitoring conditions and with the predicted wind directions coming, at this stage we expect the air quality in Hobart for race day to be normal Tassie clean air. A good reference too...l is this real time EPA air quality website. #ChocolateRun37 https://epa.tas.gov.au//real-time-air-quality-data-for-tas See more

10.01.2022 COURSE UPDATES: Following our recent re-measuring of both the Cadbury Marathon and Cadbury Half Marathon courses, we made some minor changes. They include; * Half Marathon now does the same 'longer' 1.5km lap around Cadbury estate, just once (twice for full). * Full Marathon now enters Montrose Bay High School (and no longer goes into Windemere Primary) at Foreshore road. This loop is approx 850m. * The turn across the bridge is now the same for both the Full and Half, but ...only 130m across the bridge. * The middle drink station is now located at the service station near Riverfront motel * The drink station closest to Cadbury is now just around the corner at the Box Hill roundabout. While there are a few changes, they're all minor and we're excited as we think they'll make the event better for all participants. There's no changes to the 10km, 5km or 1km events. Maps in the pictures, or read full descriptions on our website. #ChocolateRun37 See more
