14.01.2022 As the situation around COVID-19 (Coronavirus) continues to evolve, we want to provide an update on the measures we have taken to help prevent the spread and some effects the food shortages has caused to Cafe Rene. The health and safety of our staff and customers are our absolute priority. As Cafe Rene already have strict hygiene and food safety guidelines in place, we will continue to enhance these in the wake of the viral outbreak.... We ask that customers, as well as our staff, to please stay home if they are unwell, have been in contact with anyone who has been unwell, or has recently returned from overseas. Our staff have been briefed on proper hand washing techniques and we ask that customers clean or sanitise their hands before coming into the cafe. Our staff wash their hands regularly throughout the day to ensure the health and safety of the cafe is immaculate. As you are probably aware, there are a number of food shortages around the country. Cafe Rene try our best to provide a full menu, but during this time, we cannot guarantee we will be able to provide everything listed on our menus. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. 11.01.2022 WE’RE BACK!!! Well, technically we never left - butttt, from this Saturday, we are back open from 7am till 2pm to serve your favourite fresh meals! So come in, have a cuppa and a meal. 06.01.2022 To our amazing customers that are supporting us through this tough time. We are open for business on Monday 23rd March. However, we have had to make a few major changes to the way we operate our cafe. We have followed advice from the Australian Government and we have reduced seating to ensure adequate social distancing.... We strongly recommend Take-Away meals rather than dine in meals during this time. Our Take-Away menu is the same as our dine-in menu and is always just as fresh. When waiting for Take-Away meals, if you could please wait outside and our staff will bring your order out to you. We do accept both cash and eftpos, however, it would be greatly appreciated if you could use a form of contactless payment such as tap-and-go or Apple/Samsung Pay. The less handling of cash, the better off it is for all of us :) If you would like to pay over the phone - when making a phone order, we will also be able to bring your Take-Away order to your vehicle. We apologise for the inconvenience this has caused - just trying to keep everybody safe and virus free. Hours for Cafe Rene may be slightly different until the current situation has eased.
