23.01.2022 As things gradually get back to normal-ish for a lot of us, we are totally thrilled that our Soup Kitchen has been both so well supported and so well used during the pandemic We have now supplied some 15,000+ soups in this time, and importantly instead of people needing to come to us, these soups have gone out to people where they are needed, with the support of our fabulous delivery partner Mobilise. One way or another, whether it be soups or other foods for other seasons, w...e intend this to now stay a permanent part of what we do, as we have had such positive feedback about the difference it is making for people out there. The other way in which we hope to continue to help people is by providing training and work experience to people who are disadvantaged and needing a bit of a leg up. For obvious reasons during Covid we wound this right back, but we now intend to start ramping this up again, especially when now more than ever so many people find themselves without work and doing it tough. So if you know of people who might appreciate this opportunity, or relevant organisations helping clients who may be interested in this, please don’t hesitate to send us a message so we can talk with them xx

We are keen to get back into action, just like you are - and we have several magnificent spaces (Atrium, Caf, Lobby, Meeting Room), or the entire venue exclusively for you, to host your awesome event!... In a fabulous central location on the edge of the CBD but still with easy parking, our team can deliver a fully catered/licensed function in whatever style you prefer - we are always happy to be flexible to accommodate your needs. We can host groups from 2 people right up to 200 (subject to distancing requirements at the time), so whether its a meeting, a gathering, a meetup, a 21st or 50th (or 100th!), your Christmas function, or whatever it may be, we would LOVE to have you all in! And because we really want you here, we have decided to make it super-easy for you by taking out ALL the risk and worry. This means: - No Deposit - book a date with us now and you wont need to pay a deposit. 18.01.2022 We are thrilled to announce our partnering with Mobilise to help deliver our soups more widely through their fabulous youth volunteer delivery and outreach program. Weve been thrilled with the fabulous support weve received for our SoupKitchen, which means were now able to start providing soups to many more people than we had originally anticipated, and Mobilise will help us make that happen! 13.01.2022 We are thrilled to be providing hot hearty nutritious soups for lunch three times per week to tenants of the Terrace Boarding House, run by the fabulous team at Unity Housing. These photos show some of the tenants enjoying their soups being served to them by the fabulous team from Mobilise Mobilise have been collaborating with us right from the start, to help make our SoupKitchen a reality, by getting the soups delivered to people in need all across the city and suburbs.... We are all in this together right, thats how magic happens! So far we are absolutely thrilled to say we have provided almost 10,000 soups to people doing it tough out there, thanks to the incredible generosity of you our community thank you from the bottom of our hearts xx

07.01.2022 We're looking for someone to put up some fabulous new signs for us at the cafe. Just a bit of basic carpentry needed to make a simple frame to sit behind them, then attached to our pergola. If you or anyone you know could could offer to help do this for us out of the goodness of your hearts (and yummy lunch and a good coffee of course!) we’d be forever grateful! Here is the lovely Danielle - usual occupation: violinist with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra - who not only donates her time to cook soups for those in need, but also donated an excellent blender, and then took time to make a cake and serenade Paul for his birthday last week. 02.01.2022 We're looking for someone to help us with our cafe/charity bookkeeping and some administration tasks. We have developed a very simple Xero based accounting system, which accompanied with some basic admin work takes only 3-4 hours a week to manage. It's a great opportunity to get involved with our growing charity at a grass roots level, and help make a difference in the lives of others. 01.01.2022 We did it! Weve all survived a night sleeping out, which was uncomfortable, but only a small sacrifice in the scheme of things. What we have really achieved over the last month or so has been amazing due to you our community and supporters. in such tough times for everyone, weve been overwhelmed with peoples generosity, allowing us to raise more than we ever have.
