From this summer, for every show that hits Red Hill’s stage, the venue will contribute to the re-establishment of ecosystems in degraded farming land in the Western Australian wheatbelt, also known as the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor. It will ensure more carbon is retained through the re-establishment of these ecosystems than what’s generated as a footprint of the show. 03.01.2022 We are pleased to announce that as part of our Carbon Negative initiative, all those who attended and worked at Xavier Rudd - Official helped facilitate the planting of trees in the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor About 90% of the northern Wheatbelt was cleared for agriculture from the early 1900s. This removed so much native habitat that many plant and animal species went extinct locally or regionally. Others, however, hung on in woodland and shrubland remnants usually... on rocky ridges and commercially less productive upper valley slopes. 03.01.2022 Xavier Rudd - Official is coming to Red Hill today, rain or shine, baby! The weather is due to clear early evening - but best to bring something waterproof and warm just in case. Xavier braved Mark's hard borders to play for Perth tonight - a little bit of rain won't stop this guy! ... Some top tips for this chilly day No umbrellas or shade structures permitted - sorry! This would block others' view of the stage! Bring something warm, a raincoat with a hood just in case, and a hat is great for keeping any rain off your face! Bring a small cushion for your tushy - so you don't get a wet behind sitting on the auditorium, and a plastic bag would be great to keep it nice and dry! There is amazing food options available at the venue, you can enjoy wood-fired, pizza, chips on a stick, baos and skewers, naaan curry toasties, Lebanese food and bratwurst, support local - leave your eskies at home and enjoy something warm and tasty by the good folk that will be serving food at Red Hill all night long.
