10.01.2022 Current CAIN PhD student Danielle Greaves presented a great talk about a conducted meta-analysis into cognitive outcomes following coronary artery bypass grafting surgery of data from over 11,000 patients. It sparked lots of interesting questions at the redefining healthy ageing conference. Well done Dani! #AusFoS19

10.01.2022 Fantastic to hear Jim talk about his PhD work thus far (1/2 way through). He is using VR reminisce therapy to reduce apathy in @HelpingHandAust residential aged care. Fascinating results from meta-analysis and study 1; now to start study 2!

06.01.2022 Lyndsey Collins Praino (UAdelaide), Sarah Woods (Flinders) and Hannah (CAIN, UniSA) co-coordinate the SA Brain Bee, a neuroscience competition for year 10 students. Round 1 is an online quiz, and we then invite the top 40 to battle it out for the State Individual and Team Championships. The state winners go onto the Australian Brain Bee Championship, and the Australian champion to the International Brain Bee. Its exciting stuff! And a fantastic way to get teens (including lo...ts of young women) into science. Each year we source prize donations from local businesses, and each year it gets harder and harder. If you are, or know of, a SA business who would like to donate a prize suitable for teens (we are grateful for all donations, and acknowledge all sponsors in the program), do let any of us know. Thank you! And if you have a child nearing year 10, and dont know about this competition, do get in touch with us or ask your science teacher. #STEM4everyone https://www.ans.org.au/meeti/australian-brain-bee-challenge
