One of the biggest challenges as a student, as well as a teacher, is understanding exactly what test week is all about, and then explaining it to yo...ur students so they truly understand. Yes, it’s a marker to see where you land in your training and how far you’ve come. No, it does not mark you as a failure, and it is not a negative thing if you don’t get your stripe or get the next belt. How will you learn to grow, if you always win? Feedback, good or bad, is the only way we can measure our lives as if we are moving forward or if we are staying stagnant. Our hope for you is that you will always strive to keep learning, keep advancing, and work to grow and stretch your boundaries. What a tragedy it would be if you became stagnant in your life, and you never tried to be better. Test week is a reminder that you are worth it, and you owe it to yourself to persevere through both the feedback that you want, as well as the feedback you do not always want, but need to receive. 25.01.2022 ATTENTION NINJA’S Below is our time table for next week- Commencing Monday the 6th of June. Due to the new health regulations we also have some new rules and changes:... 1. Classes will now be capped at 16 students- BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL. Failure to do so will result in you being unable to enter the dojo. 2. The front door of the dojo will remain locked. Students must wait outside until their class has begun. 3. Parents will need to sign the register if they are entering the dojo. 4. Their will be a 10 minute period between classes to allow the class to exit and the next class to enter. 5. Upon entering the dojo, you MUST use the hand sanitising station. You must then line up for class. Their is no need to collect your card, we will do that for you. 6. Mini Ninja’s and Young Warrior’s will not need to bring their grading books to class until further notice. We hope that you all understand how seriously we are taking (and will continue to take) our hygiene and cleanliness. So PLEASE abide by these rules! With that being said, we want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who have gone through this crazy period with us. We have all worked so hard to keep our little community safe and active through these restrictions. We are looking forward to seeing you all again next week! LET’S DO THIS!!! Even though it's hard to put into words, one thi...ng we can say is what a blessing it was to have a superhero as our grandfather and our teacher. What many people don't know was that his real superpower was his ability to make us (and everyone else he taught) feel like WE were the superheroes. We share this special footage from the "Gracie Garage" in 1988 so you can see his level of love and commitment to empowering others. He was 75 years old in the video, and he remained active in jiu-jitsu into his 90's. If it wasn't for him, so much of who we are and what we love would not exist today. See more

It’s hard and it supposed to be.... It’s uncomfortable and it’s supposed to be. It’s challenging and it’s supposed to be. But it’s also, Rewarding and it’s supposed to be. It’s life changing and it’s supposed to be. It will prepare you for the battles ahead. It will raise your level of uncomfortable to a level beyond normal standards. It will give you the courage to achieve your dreams. It will give you the strategies to deal with anything life throws at you. Being ninja is having the (NIN) the never give up attitude to NOT GIVE UP ON YOU. BE NINJA.
