19.01.2022 A very special boat was unveiled in Cairns on Saturday. It's the club's brand new Sykes 8. It's bright pink and is branded with the easily identifiable breast cancer awareness ribbon. The boat honours all those who have been affected directly or indirectly by breast cancer and she has been named in loving memory of Amanda Jessop-Shaw, the beautiful wife of our Richard Shaw who lost her battle with the disease a year ago.

18.01.2022 Dates confirmed for 2021 Australia Masters Rowing Championships Rowing Australia and Rowing NSW are pleased to announce the dates for the 2021 Australia Maste...rs Rowing Championships (AMRC). The event will be held from 27 to 30 May 2021 at the Sydney International Regatta Centre (SIRC). We look forward to welcoming Masters rowers, from across the country, back to SIRC for the first time since the 2015 AMRC was hosted in Penrith. More information about the event will be released in due course.

15.01.2022 Tropic Now BREAKING NEWS COVID-19 UPDATE: Queensland Health says three people who attended a Cairns wrestling event earlier this month have tested positive to ...COVID-19. EARLIER: On March 14th, they were at the PCYC Edmonton during the PWP Shamrocks & Shenanigans event, hosted by Pro Wrestling Power. According to the events Facebook page, 33 wrestling fans attended. If anyone has experienced illness or symptoms, they are being told to contact their GP or 13HEALTH on 13 43 25 84. Its been more than two weeks, so if you attended, you dont have to quarantine UNLESS youve been feeling unwell. A further 55 people in Queensland tested positive to the virus overnight, taking the statewide total to 743. Local figures wont be released until later today. PWP Shamrocks & Shenanigans

06.01.2022 Today would have been the final day of #SIRR20, where we would, as a community, have celebrated the Centenary of Womens Interstate Rowing, new Interstate Regat...ta Champions and many new National Champions. Today were celebrating and thanking all of our rowing community, across the country, who are staying home and saving lives. We will be back out on the water again, in our clubs, competing nationally and internationally, in time, but for now we join together to stay home.
