24.01.2022 UPDATE: All SOLD My favourite pieces from today’s load. Most of them are not quite what I was expecting but I love them all the same. Learning to let go of outcomes and expect the unexpected, well trying anyway haha!

23.01.2022 And my obsession with teapots and quirky jugs continues! These ones hand built in a nice gritty clay.

20.01.2022 I really love how this handbuilt teapot turned out....there’s just one teeny, tiny little problem. Someone may have got carried away glazing and accidentally double dipped the spout. So even though I poked and prodded the holes to try and free them of excess glaze, they glazed over the pouring holes so that now it is a very cute, but completely impractical teapot oh well, you live and learn.

16.01.2022 These 3 survived the bisque firing I unloaded yesterday. Now to decide how to glaze them and get them in the kiln again to fire them Monday

16.01.2022 Artist cups to go with my artist pallets, ready for the kiln. I think I’ll leave these white....but then again, I might have to throw some colour around we’ll see!

15.01.2022 Carved a little bud vase today, plus some hand building for a collaboration with an artist friend in Melbourne. Because of Covid it’s going to take a bit of logistics, but I think we’ll get there. He’s a very experienced artist who’s worked all over the world and done some amazing things, so I’m a little nervous, but one medium he’s never worked with us clay so I have that one on him anyway, I’ll share some progress pics at some stage.

14.01.2022 Crushing very hard over these little vases Some are for a very special wedding finally happening next week after the gorgeous couple had to postpone their April wedding because of Covid. I was suppose to be the caterer but had to pass the batten this time around for that. But.....I’m so thrilled it is finally happening for them next week, and even more thrilled that some of my little vases, wedding cake and macarons are heading North for their celebrations. I’ll be there in spirit

14.01.2022 I have finally made a top and bottom that go together to make a butter keeper. Soooo many goes at getting this right, I won’t bore you with the details, but let’s just say it wasn’t getting the better of me. It’s a special request from my awesome hair dresser, crossing fingers Ness this makes it through the kiln and that you like it

12.01.2022 Some more of my Indijup range available. These are proving very popular, I’m delivering the plate, bottom right to one of my lovely repeat customers today, but the other 3 are available. DM if interested

12.01.2022 I’m not sure why, but every time I’m in the studio at the moment I just have to pick at least one of these up and hold it. I’m not sure if it’s the rounded form or the texture of them, perhaps it’s both. What ever it is I think they’re lovely, just as they are, or with a single bloom or piece of foliage. . . I’ll be popping some of these plus a few more pieces on the online shop over the weekend, they’d make a lovely present don’t you think?

11.01.2022 Waiting, waiting, patiently waiting....actually not so patiently now, I really want to go to bed But I’m waiting on Beryl my kiln to do her thing, and get to temperature before I shut her off and finally head to my warm cosy bed. Beryl came into my life last week after a VERY generous friend of my Mum’s gifted her to me I am forever grateful as I didn’t think I’d be getting a kiln of my own for a very long time. So after some expert guidance from Sally @claylines I’m just about to finish my second firing this week, and my first glaze firing. Fingers crossed some lovely pieces emerge on Friday after she’s cooled down

11.01.2022 Just when you think you’re getting somewhere with this ceramics caper, it stops you in your tracks, slaps you around the head and makes you realise there is 100 lifetimes of stuff to know. Granted I am an absolute beginner, but dammit this firing your own stuff is a tricky, finicky business. This little hand built teapot and jug is one of the successes.....but, there are many not so great pieces that have come out of the kiln in the last 2 weeks I am trying to take a relaxed approach, haha....who am I kidding, but I have so much to learn. Anyway, I need to apologise to the all of the lovely people waiting for special orders, I am getting there, but things are taking way longer than I imagined. Thank you for your patience, I will get things pumping very soon and catch up on that order list

09.01.2022 A little collaboration with my mate @theartofjamesprice . . . Because we’re on opposite sides of the country and we haven’t been able to be in the same state to work together, thanks COVID.......I badgered him to send me a few of his awesome sketches, and this is what I came up with for the first one.... . . . James is a super creative artist/maker who also happens to be a pretty nice human, but shhh, don’t tell him I said that, he’s also VERY modest! . . . Anyway, I’m so thrilled he didn’t tell me to go away when I asked because I can’t wait to see how this turns out once he’s fired. Go check out James’s Insta, Website and links to galleries he works with to see more of his colourful and fun artworks See more

09.01.2022 These little tumblers found a new home today I’ll be making more very soon as I love how they turned out.

09.01.2022 Gritty citrus juicer @ Brookhampton

09.01.2022 On this VERY unseasonal wintery weekend I’ve been loving painting and carving these designs. They’re all taking a lot longer to dry than they have been because it’s so cold, but hey, at least we have some rain! Hope you’ve had a wonderful weekend!

08.01.2022 Lovely white planter available in the online shop. I’m loving the iron oxide rim and dribble on this one by the lovely and super talented @dixonandsmith @ Brookhampton

07.01.2022 Midnight blue and gritty white bottle vases.

07.01.2022 Putting the final touches on my teaching studio this week before my first offical class on Saturday. So excited to welcome you to our little patch. My March 7th class is fully booked but still have a couple of spots let this Saturday and March 27th if you’d like to come along and get your hands in some clay while enjoying home made cake, snacks and tea and coffee. Link to the website in the bio . . . The first classes are mugs and jugs, and these are some pieces made by my very kind friends who came and let me practice my teaching skills on them

07.01.2022 I LOVED this teapot before it’s glaze firing..then I hated it, the glaze was a disaster unfortunately. Then I decided that I either throw it out or have a go at re-glazing it again, something I’be never done, and didn’t really hold much hope for, but thought I’d have a go anyway. Nothing to lose right? Well, now after firing a second time I am somewhere between loving and hating it. It’s not perfect by any means, unfortunately during the second firing a couple of little faults showed up, but I’m happy to keep it now, use it and try to make some more. Lots of exploration going on

07.01.2022 Little, one off vases, DM me if you’d like to know more

06.01.2022 I am beyond thrilled at how well these all came out. It’s not often my ceramic ideas go exactly as planned but these all behaved themselves gotta love that! Non for sale at the moment sorry!

06.01.2022 Not perfect, but then that’s what I most love about handmade. I cannot profess to be a skilled painter, I’ll leave that to my talented painter friends, but I do like to dabble, and these are making me want to get my paints out. They’ll be finished in a lovely simple white glaze. I’ve designed them so that, hopefully, they can be held comfortably in either your right or left hand, or of course just sitting flat next to the painter

05.01.2022 Raced home from work today to unpack Beryl and make sure everything made it through it’s first firing.....and they did...yay!! Then spent wayyyy too long deciding how to glaze everything. Going to be interesting packing the kiln this time as I have my biggest piece glazed and ready to go, seen in last pic. Have to wait till Monday to fire Beryl up, but hopefully i’ll have some new pieces available next week Feeling so grateful to everyone who’s been purchasing, it makes my day whenever someone falls for a piece I’ve made

05.01.2022 Some new incense plates I’m loving at the moment, perfect to hold my most favourite incense by @thisisincense . I have a couple of these plates available. ~ ~ The incense is made in Victoria, using Australian Essential oils, they are all so beautiful, I can’t decide which one is my fav. I’m not normally an incense kinda girl, but these have turned me, so I had to make some plates to hold them

04.01.2022 New hand built jug shape. Think this one will need repeating as I’m really happy with the end result. Have I told you how much I love jugs before? I’ve also put some underglaze transfers on this one, lots of experimenting happening at the moment.

04.01.2022 Large pie dish with a sexy butt @ Brookhampton

03.01.2022 Freshly trimmed and carved little vases. All different and unique, I’m trying not to pick favourites but I have a couple I’m particularly fond of. These will all be some version of white.

03.01.2022 Playing around with clay in the evening, a bit like meditation, it’s good for the soul. I could have left these as they were.....but I spent the next day thinking about carving them when they’d dried out a bit. Of course I couldn’t leave them, had to faff, so they’re now carved, flick across to see, I think I love them

02.01.2022 So in love with this teapot that has just come out of the kiln, it’s all perfect......except for that damn handle. Scroll through to see what I mean. Perfectly functional, as the handle has fused with glaze, but really??? So close to being a perfect teapot, oh well, it’s all good practice. It does, however, look like I’m going to have a large collection or teapots by the end of the year!

02.01.2022 Are you a handles on or handles off kinda person? I fluctuate between the two, but tend to gravitate towards the tumbler kind at the moment. I like wrapping my hands around a tumbler when it’s so wintery
