23.01.2022 What a surprise to realize how the years have flown when asked to make Kassidy-Rose's 18th Birthday Cake by her mum..... I first met Kassidy-Rose when she started Pre-school where I was Teacher Aide there at Columba. As instructed, this stacked cake depicts the challenges along the way for Kassidy-Rose to reach the top in her chosen field ..... Music. Talk about a Chocolate fix .... Certainly one here with Dark Choc Mud filled with Choc Fudge swirled with White Choc Cream Cheese Frosting, Choc Caramel Shards finished with Rocky Road Stairway to Heaven. Thank goodness I boxed it well so mother couldn't nibble on the way to Brisbane.

23.01.2022 It was a privilege to be asked to make & create another returning family's celebration cake...... This time it was Sherrie Pattel's turn...... How excited was I when her mum Lee handed me some sheets of paper with ideas & designs of Chalk Cakes.. Well here it is in all it's glory of black & champayne colour with freehand painted wording & design finished with handsculptured pink pearl sugar roses mixed with fresh Baby's Breath supplied by Gayette Denise of Blossom Shoppe. It certainly looked a picture packed for the trip to Richmond with the Bride's family. Cake flavours consisted of Dark Choc Mud... Vanilla..... Fruit cake all sandwiched. & covered with choc & vanilla frostings..... Congratilations to you both.

23.01.2022 Countdown 2 of 10...... Nothing makes my day than to witness the surprise of pure excitement on the face of recipient...... Wish I had Video on.... Apparently I truely nailed Megan's 21st cake.... There was Red & White Velvet cake filled with Lemon Choc Frosting finished with same & Creme de Cafe flavour dark choc tree bark Shards tied with rope.... Topped with Dark Choc Mud Cake filled with Choc Expresso Fudge filling with more fudge covering & swede washed painted Fondant jeans. Finished with handmade edible belt buckle hat horseshoes stars boots...... Happy 21st.... Dreams do come true.....

19.01.2022 Lucky last..... 2107 BTC Year 12's Graduation Cake on Friday Evening that I had the pleasure of creating ...... The request design was to be similar to last year's cake with ALL Student's photos........ This is what I came up with the ever most helpful Rosie Hamilton of Can-do Photo Printing/Rosie's Photo Booth who created the Edible Imaging layout along with the Edible Emblem & Class List..... The cake shape was a 6 sided Hexagon trimmed with gold which sat on a wooden polished turn table to view all the photos. Cake flavours were...... Dark Choc Devil filled with Dark Choc Fudge Frosting.... Red Velvet with Lemon Cream Cheese Choc Frosting..... White Choc Coconut Lime filling with Malibu Choc Frosting...... Congratulations to the Future

19.01.2022 Last one for tonight..... This little Classic Two Tier cake traveled to Townsville recently for Jordia's friends Baby Shower..... Flavours chosen were Choc Mud & Choc & Vanilla Marble filled with vanilla choc fudge Frosting. Fondant covering with hand painting & stencilled artwork finished off with hand sculptured sugar Shoes, bottle & rattle. Jordia said they had a blast.....



17.01.2022 Would this creation brighten your day..... Well Sondra from Inland Electronics/Trophy World had just that..... As she won this Mother's Day Cake in the Ch.T. Jockey Club Mother's Day Races. This Strawberry & Vanilla Layers of cake sandwiched with Strawberry Cream Frosting, covered with Fondant & Edible Floral Image (Rosie Hamilton, Can-do Framing & Photo Printing) in the shape of a sweet box tied with ribbon......

17.01.2022 Well..... After MUCH soul searching with myself, I've FINALLY MADE the choice to retire beginning 2019 from one of the "Loves of My Life... Cakes".... Yes that's right in just a few months time...... It was NOT an easy choice to make as you all know Cake Designing is my passion. But after 35 so years of creating many creations for many wonderful clients & not to mention some VERY taxing & nerve racking creations to make dreams come true..... It also has been for me, the most... rewarding experience to achieve & deliver these creations for my clients. I've also had the privilege of meeting many talented professionals in this industry which & who have been inspiring & without their encouragement, I wouldn't have become the professional I am today..... It certainly was NOT an easy feat to master... Thankfully I had the love, the want, the determination, the anger (yes anger... You need it), the tears (Yes many tears... Which are needed too & good for the soul) & most importantly you never stop learning & listening to advice..... Lastly & most importantly I thank from the bottom of my heart, MY loyal & wonderful family, my 4 children & my husband Alan who have been my rock over the years & who have put up with the crazy life of living with a Cake Designer/Decorator & who at times helped bring some of the creations to fruition.... Now you ALL know why I've NO takers in my footsteps.... Lol... Maybe one of my Grandies just might... Who knows... Right now I'm going to makethe most of my family who live near & far & overseas & our grandchildren who are growing ever so fast... Maybe a book of how this crazy cake lady & her creations... I know Jenny Black is very eager for this to happen.... As well get my house back in order etc etc..... I won't be idle I can assure you.. Travel is No 1 Oh yes... Dark Choc Mud Cake filled with Choc Expresso Liquor Fudge Frosting & covered in same finished with paint destressed fondant in blue/grey tones with Gold Leaf splotches. Peonies are Hannah's love which I crafted from sugarpaste hand coloured & steamed with dried gold painted leaves finished with Baby's Breath from Gayette @ Blossom Shoppe. 15.01.2022 Finally able to fast track back to May 7th for Shona & Jesse's Wedding held at Shona's parents property approx 120klms north of Charters Towers....... it's hard to describe the incredible embience of the day with such awesome people who were like family(well I grew up with them all) with everyone lending a hand & being so supportive...... Detail was perfection with simplicity..... So honoured to have been part of your day with styling the cake. My very capable & talent...ed Off-sider Rosie Hamilton who happens to be my awesome daughter, captured some of the shots to depict the day as it was & what goes into such events...... right down to the florist Gayette & Denise, Blossom Shoppe who supplied & styled the awesome flowers, including supplying the flowers I arranged for the cake. 14.01.2022 Last of the Keough Triplets Cakes...... MEGAN......choice was White Choc Coconut & Lime Cake with Malibu Fudge Filling & cover finished with hand shaded Pink Fondant drizzled with Lemon Choc dripping down sides. Gold Leaf flecks were added finished with Megan's choice of hand crafted & coloured sugar Carnations. Baby's Breath from Gayette's Blossom Shoppe was added to compliment & a MUST HAVE of a bit more Choc fix added in form of Ferorros. Cake Topper designed Justin Forrest Jewellers Ch. Towers.

14.01.2022 Graduation is such a special time.... As it means you've progressed to the next level exceptionally well....... Just like these Year 6's at BTC who are stepping up to Secondary School next year..... It is wonderful to see their efforts rewarded with a lovely celebration & CAKE which I was honoured to be asked to make & create. Favourite choice was Choc Mud with Choc Fudge Frosting covered in sugar fondant forming an Open Book with hand sculpted pages coloured. Finished Edible Wafer Butterflies & Imaging by Can-do Photo Printing (Rosie Hamilton) & dainty taped fresh flowers.

11.01.2022 The simplest of things in life bring pleasure & beauty & the eye sees all...... How true it is I believe..... As this is how simple & elegent & most important of all relaxing with family & friends on your wedding day..... This is how Tiffany & Luke envisaged their special day... It was such a glorious view from start to finish on my arrival to deliver the 3 teired wedding cake. Each teir represented the theme set for the wedding & how perfect of a match. Dark Choc Mud & Caram...el Choc Mud were chosen finished with lashings of salted caramel fudge frosting & rich mocha choc Fudge frosting. Covered with hand coloured & made surgarpaste ruffles with gold destressed paint finished with beautiful fresh flowers that i put together from Katelyn O'Donoghue of Charters Flowers which matched the brides bouquet. 10.01.2022 Words can not describe the privilege I felt to be asked to design & make this amazing Centenarian Eileen Bailey's Birthday Cake from a property in the Gregory/Burketown, Qld area back in September ..... The order was .... Elegant, Simplicity, the lady's much loved Pastel Roses with cottage filler flowers & had to be a moist fruit cake. So I came up with this oval shape cream cake & all handmade fudge/fondant & sugar roses etc..... I believe Eileen's 100th Birthday Luncheon went off with a bang..... What a milestone has this lady achieved & still fit as a fiddle & enjoys life.....Travels all-round QLD visiting her children & extended family members ..... they must be so, so very proud of her.

08.01.2022 Last Graduation Cake..... What a busy month with Grad Cakes...... It was a pleasure to do Distant Education Ch. Towers Yr 12's with an Open Book all hand sclupted of Dark Choc Mud with lashing of Dark Choc Salt Caramel Frosting & Fondant. Edible Imaging by Can-do Photo Printing ( Rosie Hamilton) finished with Wafer Daisies, Yellow Wattle & taped fresh Daisies. Also these Yr 12's were treated to a bunch of handmade Choc coated Red Velvet Cake Pops........ HOLIDAYS very shortly for Meeeee.....

08.01.2022 2017 Columba Catholic College Year 12's Graduation... My intuition of design once again didn't let me down as when I set the cake up on delivery, it fitted the Deco perfectly..... My instructions were - Hessian & Lace... Rustic..... Pastel Colours of Pinks, Lemons & Lavenders.... With my touch of Gold & Gold Leaf...... As life is a mix of learning & trials, I thought a hand painted water marbled effect would be the perfect choice & also happens to be another on trend style wi...th Choc Drip Topping..... Finished with Edible Wafer Butterflies (Beauty & Freedom of Spirit) & Edible Emblem & Class List printed & designed by Rosie Hamilton of Can-do Photo Printing/ Rosie's Photobooth. 07.01.2022 You could say I was like a kid in mud while doing this creation for Hank's 7th Birthday..... Yes, Hank's into his Camouflage Commando stuff like most boys his age, so think he was pretty stoked with what his mum gave me as a guide. As this was a little while ago, I'm pretty sure Choc Devil was the order with the yummy fudge frosting & fondant with soft royal along with paint splattering, sculpturing etc of edible art.

06.01.2022 Gee.... I'm on a roll here.... This wonderful Grandmother granted her soon to be 13 yr old G/daughter with her favourite TV Show Character from Dr Who with this Phone Box Cake..... Made of Choc Mud & lashing of Choc Fudge Frosting covered with fondant..... Penny held this precious cargo on her lap all the way to Sydney from Townsville by plane in April. Next stage was to freeze cake til mid June to await Penny's birthday. Report has it that all was a success with the un-freezing of cake & Happy Birthday was celebrated.

06.01.2022 Another privilege I had the honour of making & designing 3 x 21st cakes recently were for the Keough Triplets who I've known from the day they were born & watched them grow into such beautiful lady's..... Mum & Dad (Jackie & Andrew) would have to be the proudest parents I know & bless them on this milestone of celebration. Anyway... The girls had their own ideas for their cakes which gave their Mum a few more grey hairs BUT I soon put ALL at ease & we comprised but still achi...eved the style the girls wanted...... Because of travel time & hot weather types of icings had to be made to suit. I will upload cakes separately for individuality for girls..... NATALIE chose a Black Forest Cake with filling to suit covered in fudge & fondant shaded lemon with pastel colours of choc drizzle finished with flecks of Gold Leaf. Sugar crafted roses shaded in Natalie's colours with fresh Baby's Breath from Gayette Blossom Shoppe & Cake Topper designed by Forrest Jewellers in Ch. Towers thank you Justin. See more

05.01.2022 This won't be hard to guess this Birthday Boy's favourite intetest is......What better way for Ian to celebrate his 60th by cranking up the ole Record Player with a tune or 2 of his fav of David Bowie....... What memories this occasion would bring back with good friends & family on Magnetic Island. Ian's fav is Choc Mud with lashings of salted choc caramel fudge frosting sculptured into the Record Player. ..... All Edible cake including record LP & Image etc...... Lid is made from foamboard & painted due to travel distance.

04.01.2022 2017 Year 12's Graduation....... Charters Towers State High School was my 1st port of call to set up their sweetness of a massive double size Open Book Cake hand carved of Choc Mud with Choc Fudge Filling & covered with Fudge... Fondant... Soft Royal Frosting finished with Edible Iced Imaging from Rosie Hamilton of Can-do Photo Printing ..... Each student was presented with their own personalised decorated Choc Mud Cupcake which was all edible......

04.01.2022 Phew..... I've been long winded again in getting my creations uploaded...... creating too many creations is the cause.... Anyway Mr & Mrs Usher had their dream cake of Vanilla & Choc layers sandwiched with Dark Salted Choc Fudge Frosting.... finished with a few swipes of White Choc Vanilla Frosting to give the Naked Rustic look Kate & Tom wanted, which was complimented by the these adorable fresh flowers from Blossom Shoppe & assembled by my wonderful helper Rosie Hamilton ...(not sure how I manage without her.... we are a great team) & myself. Kate Fryer of Table Top Station, Hervey Range was married on the family property & reception at the Heritage Tea Rooms.... It is such a beautiful setting, which also, are the Scrub Turkey's favourite place too, who was also eyeing off this mouth watering delight which was being served for dessert. 03.01.2022 I love it when my client/s have a sense of humour like this family who celebrated Alex's 50th at the Corfield Races not that long ago.. The roll of toilet tissue was silky & soft of Red Velvet cake covered in Choc Creamfudge frosting & combined soft royal frosting.... Note the embossed Tissue paper which is edible. Which sat on top of a rich Choc Mud rectangle layered & covered with llashings frosting & softroyal. As Alex is a country boy at heart & lives & breathes it way out west, his lovely wife Sue said could iput some country art on sides...... So i got my pens & brushes & sketched out a few scenes by hand covering what Alex loves on the land..... Even the singage is all edile.... It was pretty impressive even if i say........

03.01.2022 As promised all would be revealed of a partly finished Keg for a BIG BIRTHDAY BASH in Prairie last night for a 50th... 30th.... 18th.... 16th... & had to incorporate a little of their interests...... Being a Big Truckie.... A Diver.... A Ringer..... A Little Truckie...... Lets see if you can put it all together... Not forgetting the one thing they ALL have in common. Happy Birthday Jim Muston... 03.01.2022 Louise's 21st was celebrated on Saturday on their family property north of Greenvale...... This cake was such a delight to do with devine colours.... Such happiness..... Louise designed her cake & flavours Dark Choc Mud filled with Choc Fudge Frosting & White Choc Coconut Lime filled with Malibu Choc Frosting ( The Keough Triplets have started a trend with this cake... It's popular in our house now too). All flowers are handcrafted from sugarpaste & coloured & steamed with chalk powder. 03.01.2022 Two very special people & friends of mine not that long ago celebrated their 30th (Pearl) Wedding Anniversary..... Dan & Christine enjoyed munching into this Red Velvet & White Choc Mud layered Cake sandwiched with Lemon Cream Cheese Choc Fudge Frosting & covering too. Finished off with an Edible Image from Can-do Framing & Photo Printing & spray of fresh Roses & pearls.... Such a classic style cake, I think you would agree !!

02.01.2022 The spiel I got for this 40th was..... Vanilla cake with frosting & fondant with lots of little things that depict Angie's LOVE of Textile Threads in particular Crocheting..... Oh... the colours she loves are burnt orange, browns, greys & peaches with blue/grey.... Oh & yes Angie has a little business called " Precious Little Sakura" in Melbourne.... Check her FB Page out.....Oh she does loveee BUTTONS..... Well, my search began & with Rosie of Can-do Framing & Photo Printing & my sculpting skills, this is what was created..... Angie I believe was beside herself when she was presented with the cake..... So glad I was able to recreate some of Angie's work into Edible Sugarpaste.....

All edible sugarcraft including the Edible Images by Rosie Hamilton of Can-Do Photo Printing & Framing as well hand drawn designs..
