25.01.2022 The last month has been busy with pre season prep of machinery, but also a bit of classing thrown into the mix. Jane & I ventured out to Ash & Anna Mays at Koongawa to go through their hoggets. These girls had a bit of fire in their belly but have a great make & shape. It'll be an exciting 4-5 years watching the wool on them improve as we go. There is already a reasonable amount of quality starting to come through. Check out the lambs coming up for next year!! Stick with it guys!!!

20.01.2022 We just love getting feedback from our clients, especially positive feedback, which we seem to be getting plenty of these days.. Check this photo of Ian & Di Haggerty's that they sent last week. It is from one of their commercial ewe hoggets. Check out the length, the purity, the crisp crimp & the lustre. You don't need salt, pepper or sauce to eat this stuff. Ian & Di paid top dollar for lot 6 last year & also snuck in a ripper horny for only $1200 which is great to see after parting with $7400 for their poll. Both of the rams they purchased had all of the characteristics displayed in this wonderful fleece so should only enhance the breeding at Prospect Pastoral. Well done guys maybe we could try & organise to be there this time next year if you're shearing again !!!!!!!

20.01.2022 If you were wondering how 400's wool looks now after a large mating & as a rising 4yr old wonder no more.

19.01.2022 We had some positive feedback on Monday from Bruce Pengilly of Penrose Stud in W.A. Bruce & Trudy used semen from 400 nearly 18mths ago. They were some of the first people to acquire semen from 400 & it always makes you a little anxious as a seller in the sheer hope that it goes well. Bruce called & put that angst to rest. He was kind enough to send a photo of one of 400's daughters fibre as an unshorn 10mth old. At classing (last week) he assured me that the group had a very... low % of culls & a very high % of specials. I wouldn't mind being there in a weeks time when they are shorn. Good luck with it Bruce. We hope that we get a lot more reports like this one as he has been used far & wide with the majority of these lambs being born in NSW with an extremely wet season. Only time will tell !!!!!!! Check this stuff out !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! See more
