05.01.2022 This Album has photo from the Sal de Vida (salt of life) project located at the Salar del Hombre Muerto (dead man's salt plain) in Salta, Argentina. The project will produce 25,000 tpa of battery grade (+99.5%) Lithium Carbonate, which is produced from brine extracted from beneath the salar. The brine is concentrated in solar evaporation ponds, then undergoes a series of process separation operations (including solvent extraction, ion exchange, precipitation and recrystallis...ation) to produce the final product. Maloney completed a feasibility study on this project earlier this year. You can read more about the project at: http://www.caldermaloney.com/projects
