10.01.2022 COVID 19 continues to impact our lives and present ongoing challenges. The year so far has tested our resolve and even though we are experiencing very trying times it is encouraging to see the innovative actions from the calisthenic community. State Associations, clubs, coaches and participants are still highly motivated and the commitment to our sport through virtual classes and staying in touch through social media, whilst looking to the future and maintaining a positive... outlook displays the enormous strength in our sport. Thank you to all for your enthusiasm and tenacity in looking beyond COVID 19. The efforts and the outcome are truly remarkable and commendable. It is always our aim to give the highest priority to the health and well being of our participants and as you will have already realized, by way of government announcements, borders are closed and social distancing is of utmost importance. For calisthenics that has meant the cancelling of classes, (in their usual format) competitions and media events. As a result of these directions ACF has no choice but to cancel our National Championships, scheduled for Darwin in July. Stakeholders were notified earlier this week of that outcome. We have received requests from coaches to look at possibilities later in the year for at least a modified version of our Championship. It appears there is no definitive end in sight for the current restrictions on travel and gatherings to be lifted, however, we are still exploring possibilities. Rest assured we will engage with our stakeholders, in a consultative process, before final decisions are made. At this stage we believe the restrictions are for a 6 month period and we know this may be extended depending on the progress of COVID 19. At this time Pan Pacific Masters Games is scheduled for November and we will await their advice on whether it will go ahead or not. Thank you for your patience and understanding and stay safe and healthy.

06.01.2022 As part of ACF's commitment to inspire people to connect and participate, and in line with our Strategic Plan 2019 2023, we invite members of our community to be part of our new consultation program ‘Club Team 2021 Working Party’. It is intended for this group to meet via online Zoom meetings at regular intervals with the task of exploring the feasibility of introducing a National Club Team Competition in 2021. People who have a passion for innovation, development and con...sultation, and who are keen to be part of the future of calisthenics; are encouraged to submit their Expression of Interest by November 15, 2019. The application form can be found on our website link below...

05.01.2022 Have you had your say about our proposed National Club Team Competition? Complete the survey link below to provide your feedback. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/J9QW376... **POST EDIT ** Background: The interest for an ACF National Club competition came from a National survey conducted by ACF a number years ago. ACF have not yet confirmed that the competition will go ahead, and are seeking input from our calisthenics community. This is why we are doing this survey. We value everyones comments and request you complete the survey to provide your feedback. This is the platform where your valid opinions and concerns can be compiled and included in our survey data for analysis. From this, we will be able to determine if this competition will be viable, and if indeed if it is something our Calisthenic clubs would like to have. The intention of this competition is not to take from or replace our wonderful National Championship competition, but rather add another competition option, allowing clubs who do not have an opportunity to send teams to Royal South Street competition or participate in Nationals. Within the survey there is a section towards the end where you can provide comment or ask questions. We will respond to your questions with information requested from the survey.

05.01.2022 Australian Calisthenic Federation Statement on Covid-19 (Coronavirus) ACF would like to reassure the calisthenics community that we are monitoring COVID-19 (Coronavirus) closely.... Whilst the situation is constantly evolving, the health and wellbeing of the calisthenics community - participants, coaches, team personnel, officials, volunteers and staff - is paramount and the potential impact on our people will be at the forefront of any decision made. Together with states, ACF will continue to monitor the situation and act on advice from the Department of Health, the Australian Government and organisations such as Sport Australia and the Australian Institute of Sport. Sport Australia and the Australian Institute of Sport has set up an information portal for further information Please refer to link provided. ( https://ais.gov.au/health-wellbeing/covid-19) At the present time we will continue as we are, with reminders to our community around increased personal hygiene and seeking medical advice if you are unwell. It is important to note that the situation is changing every day and members should check with State Associations for information regarding events.

05.01.2022 AUSTRALIAN CALISTHENIC FEDERATION Return to Sport 1 June 2020 As COVID-19 restrictions are gradually lifted in each state, Australian Calisthenic Federation (ACF) understands that all clubs and members are keen to resume classes as soon as possible.... It is imperative that as we get back into calisthenics, it happens in a safe and healthy manner and in full accordance with the relevant State Health Department advice. Sport Australia recently released a Framework for Rebooting Sport. State and Territory Governments will determine when sport can resume at each level outlined within this framework. As a National Sporting Organisation, ACF request that all states ensure they understand this framework and develop appropriate return to sport plans. The Sport Australia Return to Sport Toolkit can assist with development of these plans and related resources to ensure clubs and coaches are meeting all requirements to resume activity safely. Each club will need to appoint one person to oversee the implementation of hygiene practices, physical distancing measures, attendance registers and any other required actions. If clubs have any questions around what level of activity is allowed and what measures need to be put in place, please contact your State Member Organisation to seek clarification. As always, we highly value the contribution of all coaches and volunteers in our calisthenics community. We appreciate the extra work that will be required to resume calisthenics activity during this COVID-19 pandemic. The health and safety of everyone is always our priority. We thank you for this extra effort and wish you all the best in getting your club back up and running. Please also note that given the ever changing environment and the uncertainty around state border closures, it is difficult for ACF to make any decisions about events and competitions at this time. Unfortunately we have had to cancel our 2020 National Championships and we are awaiting a decision regarding whether the Pan Pacific Masters Games will go ahead. We expect that PPMG will have an update on the games in the next day or so. We will provide further information as it comes to hand.
