25.01.2022 What a weekend of cricket for our Territorians! 2020 Waratah Premier Grade Captain Isaac Conway made waves in his debut for Port Adelaide, continuing his form from the DDCC season with a ton. The Port Adelaide second grade also came home with a win, with Shane Chatto's 69(54) and 1/3(2.5) coupled with Jahiah Baxter's 18(15) and Michael Kudra's two catches and one stumping with the gloves. Lucas Nitshcke kept his bowling tight with 0/11(4) and won the game with his 36(37)* in... Port's third grade. Amber Cloughessy and Jacinta Goodger-Chanlder suffered a first round loss despite some good bowling by Jacinta and a catch by Amber. Jacob Dickman's Woodville got off to a perfect start winning their first game of the season as did Sturt with Jacob Dick, 1/82(10) & 36(44), and Corey Kelly, 2/32(10) and 81(66) both playing their part. West End Redback's Luke Robins made 50(43) and took one wicket in East Torren's win over Kyle Scrimegour's Prospect, despite his valiant efforts taking 2/61(10) and making 58(77). Up in QLD, Tom Kelaart is currently on 19(30)* as rain delayed the continuation of his opening day's play in a two day match. Over in the West, Coby Edmondstone's University couldn't make it two wins in a row going down to Midland-Guilford.
