24.01.2022 Happy Birthday Callala Public School! Our amazing school had the 20 year anniversary of its opening on August 22nd and during library lessons this week some of the students were able to explore the contents of our time capsule from way back then. These included photo albums, newspapers clippings, journals made by the new classes, slides and videos. We will be adding a journal put together from the pages students completed in their own journals for the year 2020 and other pieces of work. This activity has fitted in perfectly with the work we have been doing on primary and secondary sources in history. Please enjoy some photos of this special activity.

21.01.2022 Yesterday, students participated in activities as part of National Action Day Against Bullying and Violence. Every student in the school helped to make a word with each class forming a letter to spell Upstand. Stand together against bullying. Be an upstander not a bystander!! 03.01.2022 Congratulations to all the students who completed the Premier’s Reading Challenge this year. This photo shows some of those students with the prizes they received today. Their certificates will be handed out towards the end of the year. Awesome effort.

02.01.2022 Track Day Tomorrow!! The track events for students turning 8 and over planned for Wednesday, have been moved to tomorrow due to the weather. Students will need appropriate footwear, hats, sunscreen applied and a drink bottle. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 restrictions we can’t have any spectators but we will post lots of photos for parents!
