20.01.2022 Calliope Cricket Club will be running a winter 20/20 comp starting mid July. There will be a social comp as well as a cricketers comp. So we are looking for club, pub, mates anyone looking for a fun couple of weeks of cricket. At this point we will be playing two games on Sundays.

18.01.2022 Hi all we are In need of some irrigation pipe and sprinklers in operating condition and possibly a mobile diesel irrigation pump. This will be only a short time loan while we establish the new turf. So if anyone can help or know someone who might let us know.

17.01.2022 Good win for Calliope again today bowled the Glen boys out for 102 we got the runs 7 down Gav Ogden's Man of the match performance 3 catches with the gloves and 49 with the bat. Old stager Rossco hit the winning runs again and picked up 4 wickets. 9 catches to dismiss the glen good to see we are starting to hold them Whitey took a classic 1 hander on the boundary 2 falcons for the day Gav Nicholas kept his eye on the ball in the field and Simon 10 overs for a duck Pukk laid on the pitch and head butted one back to the bowler. All in all another good win go the Roosters.

09.01.2022 Good win for Calliope against Yaralla 257 to 194. Whitey 106 first ton for the club for a few years backed up by Gav Ogden 37 and non captain Zilky 38. Marshy ended up with 3/21 off 6 overs 2 maidens. Congrats to Jakey on his first win steering the team good work mate. Another milestone for the club the General Bowling 8 overs straight picking up 2 very important wickets turned the game. Only blemish in whiteys ton he ran the General out lucky he got his maiden century. We play at home again next week don't forget you need to text me by Wednesday if you are available to play. Peter is a former Queensland Shield player and a coach of both Scotland & Netherlands at World Cups. The GCI would expect all clubs to be represented at this workshop.
