24.01.2022 Last week I had the pleasure of teaching Bodie&Frankies owner how to have an enjoyable walk with her two excited dogs! She did an amazing job of staying calm and assertive while leading her pack These guys are making great progress and I look forward to working with them more and working on their leash skills in various areas ... 24.01.2022 I'm going to do more stuff on the fly so everyone can see how I deal with situations as they arise. I do a lot of Instagram Lives so people can see how I deal w...ith certain situations as they arise and also to show any of the naysayers what is possible with Dog Psychology because by doing it Live there is no room for editing to make me look good. Dropping Nico's leash on purpose at 3 months old during a Live and walking him home off leash would seem so risky to most. So much could go wrong. That being said, being with a pack for so many years, my instincts new it would go great and it did. I honestly don't give a shit about "looking good." Just looking good to feed my ego isn't going to help you. I'm secure in my understanding of Dog Psychology and how to handle situations with a dog as they arise. I went over a lot of stuff here so if there are any questions, please let me know in the comments. Remember, I'm here for you and want to help you as much as I possibly can. I want this so bad for all of you. Being able to take a 4-month old dog outside, off leash and have a structured game of play is such an amazing thing that I want you all to experience. One note that I wanted to make sure that was understood is that to finish the game, the dog must willingly walk away from the toy. If you pull him away or take the toy away and hide it without the dog understanding psychologically the game is over, it can cause dogs to whine, stare at the area you put the toy, bark at that area, pace, etc. It's critically important that things start in the default state of calm follower for the dog, in the middle can be excited follower state and finish with calm follower state. You can see that by doing that we keep a calm follower state of mind as the default state for the dog, where we turn excitement on for a period of time and then turn it off at the end to reset back to calm follower. (I actually send him to calmness in the middle of the game too at times as an opportunity to practice calming down from excitement). If you need the leash to have better access to the dog in any of these scenarios, use it! It's like training wheels for bike riding!
23.01.2022 We had a lovely taste of summer today
21.01.2022 Todays walks were all cut short to only 30mins and they either included fun at the oval or training at home. I injured my ankle so needed to take it easy but still help fulfill some beautiful pups so sorry to all the dogs I didn't manage to fit in!
20.01.2022 Here's a few videos of Zeus learning about leash pressure which is helping get him into a follower state of mind vs an explore/play state of mind. As he tends to get over excited and over stimulated about his environment. He did an awesome job and I was told he had a peaceful walk with his family in the evening!
18.01.2022 Introducing Zeus, an 7.5month old blue staffy! He joined the Calm Canine pack a few weeks back but I forgot to get his portrait Isn't he a stunner! His owners specifically wanted help with his leash manners so we really worked on it today! We only see each other once a week but he is doing awesome! Videos to come!
17.01.2022 Missi making new friends with Ves&Auri
15.01.2022 Happy Tuesday! I'm back to walking after a week off with a sprained ankle. Fortunately for all these cuties it wasn't serious! I definitely missed these adorable faces
13.01.2022 A few of this weeks beautiful pups
13.01.2022 Video evidence of these two cuties getting to know each other! If you're wanting to introduce your dogs to a new dog, WALK TOGETHER first! This is the best way to build a relationship without any tension or conflict. It's natural for dogs to migrate and move together which is why walking as a pack first will help avoid any initial conflict. Compared to excitably rushing into intimate space and nose to nose smelling, this can cause the dogs to feel uncertain, nervous, tense re...sulting in defensive behaviour. Walk > smell > relax > and then play together, if the dogs show they're comfortable. It's more valuable for our dogs to just exist around each other calmly rather than get over excited everytime they see a dog due to only experiencing crazy play sessions. Keep it calm, add some excitement and then bring it back to calmness! Have fun!
13.01.2022 Some of today's pups who all did a great job at handling the countless challenges and obstacles we face during our walks - bikes, dogs and princess shoes...
11.01.2022 Covu met Missi for the first time today and they got on perfectly! We kept things calm at the beginning, I just had a massage with Bronwyn from Heal with Ease so I was very relaxed After they walked nicely for about 10mins, I allowed them to sniff each other (nose to bum, NO nose to nose as this creates too much tension for a first meet n greet) Then we continued our slow, relaxed walk with some lovely loose leashes
10.01.2022 Here's an appreciation post for young Alaska, who moved to pemby today I'm gonna miss this adorable face! Here's a few photos of all the adventures and new friends she's made since me met in March! Can't wait for some future visits, all your friends will be waiting!

08.01.2022 Staircases! They can be a disaster - the dogs may bolt up them or they're fearful of going up/down. Either way it's a great opportunity to overcome an obstacle, slow the mind down and build confidence in your dog. I always make sure they can go up and down the steps slowly and calmly waiting for my next step. Here are my wonderful demo dogs Roxy&Ruby! Can you tell they've done this before, they did a great job following my direction
05.01.2022 Two German shepherds showing us all how to stay calm and confident in challenging situations!

03.01.2022 Today's beautiful sunshine helped remind us to take a break and relax for a moment before heading home
03.01.2022 I had the pleasure of working with these two goldens and also their newest fur sis - a newfoundland puppy! We also had 3 pony's supervising and the boss cat following along too Dex is a super happy go lucky bouncy guy so he was a great help when it came to the nervous Shazzy. She wouldn't come near me voluntarily, she would bark and run away and watch me. We leashed them both up so I could use Dex as her support dog ... I kept Dex close to me to bring Shazzy in, then I gave her a massage to help her body relax as she was very tense. Then we would walk, stop massage, walk repeat. By the end Shazzy was much looser and had her tail up and would come in for a massage
02.01.2022 Morning and evening doggos!
01.01.2022 Young Boonatune finally met some labradoodle lady friends! Angels back and looking as pretty as ever! And Moby and Milly met each other for the first time - we had a lunch date!
01.01.2022 Paddy enjoyed a bike ride and a game of fetch earlier in the week, and today he did some different activities around Luna as a distraction
