25.01.2022 MEALTIME MONDAY. Make this tomorrow night. Summer in winter chicken is what it’s called if you google the recipe. We call it Anytime Chicken, well because we eat it all the time! It’s easy, quick and one pan. Cals: 626. Makes 10 meals!



25.01.2022 LOW CALORIE SNACK IDEA! After relaxing with cucumber segments on your eyes, eat them! In between meals I am trying out low calorie foods such as these cucumber eye pieces. 150g which is approximately half of one big cucumber you buy from the supermarket is around 18 calories, so really it’s like eating nothing. And yet, it’s an amazing snack because it gets you chewing and crunching on something. It can help fill you up just a little to get you buy to the next meal. There is... an important factor though that you need to know. You won’t be satisfied with this mentally if you don’t have an idea of what meals you have coming up. Example: I plan most of my days meals in My Fitness Pal. That helps me stay within my calorie intake for the day, BUT also it helps me see what I have to look forward to later in the day or at night. Having something tasty to eat after dinner or when you know your cravings are at their highest helps when you get a little hunger during the day. Then I am prepared and happy to eat a cucumber and a coffee etc. I did this today and it worked so well. I was happy munching away and giving my son a little at the same time. I knew I had self saucing pudding to eat for dessert so keeping my snack to next to nothing helped. The point is there are a number of very low calorie foods to keep your mouth an brain occupied. This is one way to help achieve your health goals.

23.01.2022 Nathan loves when we make homemade roast chicken and veggies. He just eats it up yo!!! What an amazing meal of protein from the chicken and nutrient dense carbs from the veggies.

23.01.2022 Can low calorie meals be tasty, delicious and fulfilling? I believe they can be. Whether it’s by changing the way you prepare the ingredients or using a same same but different ingredient. Or by doing a science experiment! Wuhahah!



16.01.2022 MEAL MAKING MMMMM TIME! Thanks for those that gave meal ideas that I can test out and make lower in calories and as tasty if not tastier than what it usually might have been. Some ideas where parma and chips and mexican to KFC hahah. First up. Let’s go to mexico!

12.01.2022 Have your crumble and eat it too! Tracking cals for me personally has made my diet life easier and a no brainer. This took time obvs to become a habit. But because of habit it doesn’t use much daily will power to stick to. You can eat cake and still maintain your daily goals. I use My Fitness Pal to help. It’s FREE!

11.01.2022 NOT a ‘low calorie snack choice.’ What a lot of people call low cal snacks still add a fair bit to the daily total. The best thing about eating a carrot in between meals is that it’s almost like eating nothing, no calories at all. Think about that for a minute, it’s pretty important. In fact, some of these 32 calories are probably used up in digestion. (I think) ehehe If you are trying to watch what you eat each day this is a good choice in between your more tasty and fillin...g meals. Another thing I love about them is they take a while to eat. You just keep on chewing and they taste pretty good too. Add in a good wack of daily fibre and you’re set! Come on, nibble like a rabbit.

10.01.2022 Roast chicken for the whole family! Little Nathan LOVES this so much! We’re very happy to give this to him. Break it into bits and put it on his high chair so he can pick away at it. Adult serve: 466 calories.

10.01.2022 Chicken laksa...maybe if you’ve got little ones they could have a little minus the chilli! Very tasty. Created in the pressure cooker. Very fresh meal! Cals: 500.

10.01.2022 Simple meals a good meal! Tuna and veggies. CALS: 476. Great combo of protein, fats, carbs and fibre.



05.01.2022 For the month of Feb I’m going to count calories to try it (reminding myself that four weeks is nothing... Awesome work! Ok, so couple of ways. Best is to add a recipe. Click on add food. Click plus top right. Create a recipe. Put in the regular salad ingredients. Say that its one serve. Add and track. Then each day you want that you can click add food. Recipes tab at top. And boom. That works if same foods each time. Also keep in mind my fit pal is intelligent so each time... you add a food it will keep it in its memory so if you tracked tuna yesterday of a certain brand and you have it again you can start typing in the all tab and it should come up. Another way you could begin and may make it easier and less intense while you begin is to just track the main big things such as your proteins, fats as in any dressings nuts etc you put in the salad. Not the salad, tomatoes, cucumber, kale, etc that really doesnt contain enough calories to worry about. I would recommend trying to track all things as its a good habit but consistency wins over anything else every time. If you need a quick video on doing this stuff I can record off phone and send you if like. Just let me know. Please keep the questions coming as I love this!

01.01.2022 FROM BULK TO CUT. EXPERIMENT TIME! Did a long (too long I think) bulking phase of 9 months and I definitely ate the foods. Was tracking my calories every day but often went over because, well, yolo! Now I’m trying out a predetermined cut phase of 6-16 weeks with the hopes of chiselling a greek god bod or even a viking warrior this is sparta kick in the face bod. Christmas 2019 I weighed in at 73. At present I am 84. Would like to have put on a little muscle along with this layer of scrumptiousness. Time to #fightthedadbod
