22.01.2022 Week 2 of the Caltex 5's Competition has again seen over 200 cards with some red hot scores. Winners of the $25 Caltex Fuel Voucher were as follows: Nathan Campbell (B&D Burglars) 29 Nett, Michael Heffer (B&C Plumbing) 31 Nett, Grant Gyles (Fairway Ninija's) 32 Nett, James Buckland (Taylormade) 27 Nett and Ian Braitwaite (Five Irons) with an amazing 17 Nett, and in doing so lost an amazing 19 shots off his handicap. 21.01.2022 Another succesful week was had in the Rod McNabb Caltex 5's October - December competition with 240 cards played. In the first 4 weeks of this competition we have had 1,051 cards returned with an average of 262. An interesting battle is the mix in Division 1 with Burglars and MI 5 clearing away from the pack on the leader board after 4 weeks, while MI 5 other team MI 6 sit in 4 spot.... Division 2 is also very close with MeJulie and Ramrods early leaders also after 4 rounds Fuel Voucher winners from Week 4 were: Div 1 Brett Jones (MI 5) 30 nett, Div 2 Andrew Romagnolo (No-Wads) 34 nett c/b, Div 3 Kodie Charles (Dick's Diggers) 33 nett, Div 4 Nick Van Lijt (Fairway Ninja's) 30 nett and Div 5 Terry Greedy (Get Set Ball Hitters) 30 nett. 20.01.2022 209 cards were returned in the last week of the Rod McNabb Caltex 5's October-December competition. In what has been the best Caltex 5's competition with a total of 2309 cards returned in the 9 weeks of competition at an average of 256 cards per week. Winners of the Rod McNabb Caltex 5's Fuel Vouchers in week 9 were: Div 1 Alan Andreazza (Owen Toyota Rogues) 31 net, Div 2 Shane Gaffey (B&C Robbers) 31 net, Div 3 Paul De Mamiel (Riverina Poultry Services) 32 net, Div 4 Michael... Aventi (RC Sports) 33 net and Div 5 Chris Richards (Eagles) 32 net. Results for week 9 can be found on the Griffith Golf Club website under the Events tab. The Presentation for Rod McNabb Caltex 5's October-December competition will be on this Sunday 20th from 3pm to 6pm. Teams intending to attend MUST fill out the registration form for the presentation and return by email to [email protected] by this Thursday. This form is for catering reason as well as Covid 19 regulations. No players will be allow to attend if they have not filled out the registration form. 19.01.2022 Week 1 of the new Caltex 5's Competition with an amazing 224 cards entered in this first week. Winners of the $25 McNabb fuel vouchers in each division were: Div 1 James Lethlean (Owen Toyota Rogues) 31 Nett on a Countback, Div 2 Bryan Trembath (Intergal Golf Punks) 32 Nett, Div 3 Tom Watson (Pin Chickens) 33 Nett on a Countback, Div 4 Mark Jones (Argus Smith) 33 Nett and Div 5 Jordan Burley (Jordan Burley Bricklaying) 33 Nett on a Countback. 18.01.2022 Results from round 7 has seen 182 cards entered, another great effort. There are 2 more rounds to go in this October-December Competition with the Presentation Night to be held on Friday 13th December at the club. Information re the Presentation night will go out shortly. 17.01.2022 The October - December Caltex 5's Competition will commence from Monday 7th October. Teams are requested to get their Registration Forms in ASAP. Forms are available from the Griffith Golf Club website: https://www.griffithgolfclub.com.au//caltex5-registration- Registration Fee remains at $10 per player to be paid with Registration Entry.... Special Membership Promotion with new members for the Caltex 5's - 6 Months membership for $120 running from October 19 to end March 20. Nomination forms available from club website

17.01.2022 The Combination of the 2 weeks for Week 4 of the Jan-Mar Caltex 5's Competition had 240 cards returned. Best scores and winning Fuel Vouchers at McNabb Caltex were as follows: Div 1 Kieron Edwards (Kevin Purtell Strata) 32 net c/b $25 Voucher, Div 2 Terry Bennett (ABC) 33 net c/b $20 Voucher, Damon Café (RWE) 31 net $20 Voucher, Div 4 Tinomana Kalie (De Cellar Boys) 29 net $20 Voucher and Div 5 Jason Brain (Taylormade) 31 net $20 Voucher. 17.01.2022 The Final Results for the October to December Caltex 5's competition is now available on the Griffith Golf Club website Events page. The 2020 January to March competition will begin from Monday 13th January 2020. Teams are able to nominated their teams from now up until Monday 13th January. Teams can get their registration form from the Griffith Pro Shop or download from the Griffith Golf Club Events page. Registration is $50 per team/$10 per player and must be paid with the Registration form.

17.01.2022 The next Rod McNabb Caltex 5's January - March 2021 Competition will start from Monday 18th January. Team registration will remain at $50 per team. Registration... forms are available on the Griffith Golf Club web site under the events tab:https://www.griffithgolfclub.com.au//Caltex-5-Rego-Form.pdf If teams are re-entering the same team as their October-December team, you just need to e-mail me at [email protected] stating that you are entering the same team. You only then need to pay the $50 team registration. All teams are reminded that your team winnings from last year are set up on the Club/Pro Shop tills under your team name for you to use. Registration Fees cannot be taken out of these winning, this must be paid at the start of each competition.

15.01.2022 The new season of the Rod McNabb Sponsored Caltex 5's Competition will start from Monday 5th October 2020. The format for the Caltex 5's will remain the same as in previous years. Teams of 5, can play any day of the week, best 4 scores count, stroke event with Double Par rule in play, can be played in conjunction with competition rounds. Join for only $120 for 6 months (Oct to March) a saving of $130. Non handicapping players can do their handicap cards the week before the competition starts. If possible can all team entry's be in by Friday 2nd October. 15.01.2022 Another record week of Caltex 5's competition was played last week with 277 cards played in Week 2 of the Rod McNabb Caltex 5's October - December Competition. This surpasses last weeks record of 270 cards. The competition now has 200 players with 40 teams of 5, with 8 teams in each of the 5 divisions. Another highlight of week 2 was a Hole in One to Corey Charles from Dick's Diggers on the 7th Hole.... 14.01.2022 For the 4 time in the first 5 weeks of the McNabb Caltex 5's Competition over 200 cards were done with 207 in Week 5. This Friday the Griffith Golf Club is holding it's Corporate Cup, so their will be no Social/Caltex 5's players on until at least 4.30. 13.01.2022 Another record breaking week in the Rod McNabb Caltex 5's has seen 281cards played in Week 5 of this competition. Some extremely low scores were returned during... the week with 8 players with scores of 30 nett or less. Trey Woodland from YTW in Division 4 played 11 shots under his handicap to shot a nett 25 for the weeks best score. 12.01.2022 The Highlight of Week 3 of the January - March Caltex 5's Competition has seen the first Hole In One since the concept of the Caltex 5's commenced in October 1996. Joel Undy aced his tee shot on the 16th Hole last Tuesday with a seven iron. 08.01.2022 119 cards were returned in Week 7 of the Caltex 5's competition. This coming week will be the Final Week of this Caltex 5 Competition as with the Pro Am next Monday then the closed for next 3 days their will be no time to have enough time for players to play. This weeks competition will finish this Saturday as Sunday is closed to prepare for the Pro Am and Sponsors Day on Sunday. Results for Week 7 are now available on the Griffith Golf Club Website under the events tab. A date for the Presentation night is still to be determined, but with functions etc already booked in may have to be held on a Sunday afternoon. Details to follow shortly.

04.01.2022 The final week of the Caltex 5's Oct-Dec competition finished yesterday. Results for this week will be made at the Caltex 5's Presentation night this Friday at the club starting from 6.30. Names and numbers are need by this Thursday lunchtime for catering arrangements. Names and numbers to be email to [email protected] or commenting below on this facebook page.

04.01.2022 The 2019 Oct-Dec Caltex 5 competition began from Monday with 39 teams, which is the 2nd most number of teams since the Caltex 5 concept started in Oct-Dec 2016. There are a total of 17 new teams out of the 39, which are split into 5 Divisions. Fuel Vouchers for $25 are won each week by the best score in each division. The team grades and handicaps are now available on the Griffith Golf Club website: https://www.griffithgolfclub.com.au/cms/events/ and scrolling down to the Cal...tex 5 section. The rules are also included in this section. Team registrations are now also due. Non members can joined the club with a 6 month Membership package for only $20 a month ($120 - 6 month). Non members pay $20 per round, while members pay $10 per round. Competition runs each week starting on Mondays through to Sundays. See more

This is the biggest number of cards played in the history of the Caltex 5's competition, and was especially pleasing considering the bad weather during the week.
