23.01.2022 Hi folks! Sorry I havent posted in a while, but there was a fire. You know how it is... Anyhoo, were fine, thanks for asking. Current events have certainly interfered in my brewing schedule but things are coming along regardless. See here, for example (but which I mean below), is a photographic-picture of a beer what I done. Its called TFB, and is a session-strength red rye ale. Its loaded up with Ryefield Hops, and is generally delicious. TFB stands for whatsoever you may wish. I assume well be reopening this weekend (?) or thereabouts. Beer will be here.

23.01.2022 Hi Voyager Craft Malt, I assume the extra H stands for Hoo-boy, I cant wait to brew some delicious porter with this fresh-roasted chocolate malt!

22.01.2022 Hi folks! Hows your summer been? Exhausting and awful? Yeah... I got myself a bunch of hops called Hallertau Blanc a while back, so I brewed up a little helles lager. Hallertau is the hop growing area of Bavaria, and helles is a classic Munich-style lager (being the capitol city of Bavaria). But the Blanc hops is a modern little flower, with notes of white wine, elderflower, and candied fruit. So, its a modern hell. Thats a play on words Ive done there; feel free to explain it to people you meet. Theyll love it Im sure.

22.01.2022 Hi folks! Movember continues unabated, as I expected it would. Ive been running as part of this charity thing, and am now just 6 kms shy of my 60 kilometer target. Thats a tenth of the distance, with a tenth of the time left! Whod a thought that would work! Anyhoo, all this exercise is ridiculous and has made me quite hungry, hence the big ol charity lunch on Saturday (completer with big ol charity raffle!). Ill be smoking my andouille sausage and rum & maple sweet potato tomorrow, then eating it on the weekend! See you all then! Jesse, brewer

22.01.2022 Hi folks! Wet enough for ya? Well enough of the pleasantries; lets get down to beer. My assistant, Rhys, suggested brewing a kolsch, and while I cant find the umlaut to put on top of the o, I certainly found plenty of Hallertau and Strisselspalt hops to put in the beer! Its on tap now, a smooth and subdued psuedo-lager style thats perfect for drinking it when if you are thirsty Im sorry about this sentence folks Im out of practice. Jesse, brewer

I never did find the book with the anecdote that inspired the name for this beer, so Ill leave it to you, Dear Drinker, to conceive your own fanciful narrative. 17.01.2022 Hi folks! My moustache is coming along quite nicely, thanks for asking. The thing where I am running 60 kilometers over the month is also happening. I had some chest pains and dizziness the other day, so I went to the doctor, and it turned out I was just hungry. So Im fine. Speaking of hungry, Ill be cooking a super-special charity lunch on November 30th, and twould be ever so nifty if you came along. Im doing stuff like chipotle kimchi, pollo a la brasa, and Mexican street corn, as well as a one-off beer on tap. Money goes to charity. Food goes to belly. You get it. Jesse, brewer

13.01.2022 Hi folks! In a few weeks Ill be taking some of our beers down to Merimbula for the Eat Merimbula Festival. Which beers, I hear you exclaim? Assorted! Yes, an assortment of beers will be available, not to mention other beers from other breweries with more competent social media. Theres also a beer-themed degustation dinner, in which I will be giving a tedious lecture on the importance of geo-specificity in modern brewing. Seriously. Im going to push a moustache out through my upper lip as if by magic, and invite you to donate to promote awareness of mens health. 09.01.2022 Hi folks! I realise that randomly quoting some random person is a pretty gosh-darned lazy way to go about social media marketing, but heck-dang-it if I aint a lazy man! Pardon my language. Benjamin Disraeli once said action may not always bring happiness; but there is no happiness without action, so I put a duck on his head. Am I happy now? Who could hope to quantify such a thing? I do know my Fresh-Eyed XPA is returning to our taps, however, and that it is delicious, and that makes me happy. Its a balanced interpretation of a barely-defined beer style, bringing toasty malts to a full-blown hop party, where Enigma, Amarillo, Ekuanot, and Centennial hops come together in a riot of complex flavour and aroma. 07.01.2022 Hi folks! The far south coast sure is getting crafty. From Longstocking Brewery to Humpback Brewery to Camel Rock Brewery & Restaurant, and now Big Niles Brewing Co is up and running. Basically, if youre driving up or down the coast, you can stop every forty minutes for a beverage.

Like, maybe 400 kilos of grain. I really dont want to have to lug this up to the compost pile, folks. It is uphill the whole way.

05.01.2022 Hi folks! Its five days til the big ol Movembeer charity lunch, and probly high time I mentioned that weve got a big ol charity raffle going on as well! Also, terribly sorry about all the abbreviations, but Im in a hurry. Much thanks to Bermagui Fresh Food Emporium for supplying delicious raffle meats (raffle meats are the best meats), and Ill go ahead and can up a six-pack of the special release charity beer. Therell be other winnables too. My favourite part of raffles is finding a little ticket in my pants pocket two weeks later and being all like, the Dickens am I doing with this wee ticket? Anyhoo, see yall on Saturday!

Friederich Nietzsche, seen here with a duck on his head, once said, The gentlest, most reasonable man may, if he wears a large moustache, sit as it were in its shade and feel safe, which is as good a way as any to segue into Movember. This November Ill be growing a moustache for Movember, raising awareness of mens health stuff. I already have a moustache - all beerbois do - but Ill shave it off and grow a new one. 04.01.2022 Hi folks! Heres a little sneak preview/bulk of the information for a little beer what I done. Coming to a tap real soon... Ah, what the heck; lets do it now! The Crunch begins with a spontaneously fermented tepache (a pineapple drink), that doubles as the yeast starter for a much larger volume of beer. A whole load of hops go into the whirlpool and fermentor, and the end result is super fruity with a dry finish. I like The Crunch. I live for The Crunch. Can you handle The Crunch? Of course you can.
