25.01.2022 On Tuesday we thanked our support staff. (Support Staff Week) Chelsea, our longest serving Teacher aide cut the cake. We would be lost without the support that Mel (BM), Chelsea, Alison & Tylah (Teacher Aides) and Kev (Grounds) give to the school. The dedication and hard work of these staff members ensure our students are succeeding. Thank you!

20.01.2022 Mr Rob Barty (father of World No.1 player Ash Barty) and Mr Ken Hick (a former Tennis Queensland official) who will be in Hughenden on Friday 30th October and would like to provide a free Tennis Clinic for our Juniors from 4 to 5 p.m. on that day. The Clinic would be followed by an address by Mr Barty with the provision for Tennis Families to put questions to him relating to Ash Barty’s Story from her Junior Tennis Days to where she is today. Should we get enough people ...interested there would then be a free Sausage Sizzle for those who attend. It would be appreciated if you would also spread the word about this event in case there are new people in town who might be interested. 15.01.2022 At the end of week nine, some happy and musical students. Mrs D visited for music lessons today. The students are improving so much! Frankie joined us today for a Kindy transition day.

09.01.2022 Another day in paradise! We are so fortunate at this school to have so many wonderful pepole willing to give their time for others. Thank you so much to Nikki Flute for travelling out to Cameron Downs to offer parents and students yoga lessons. Also the visiting RAFS ladies who travelled from Mt Isa and Longreah and the nurses and health assistant from the Hughenden Hospital. Thanks to Mel Pensini for coordinating playgroup and all the visitors. By the smiling faces, I would say the day was a huge success!

07.01.2022 Welcome to Kate Jonsson who has started work at Cameron Downs State School on a part time basis. Kate is still completing her studies, however in 2021 she will join our team as a full time member. Thank you for joining our team Kate!
