24.01.2022 Do you want to get involved in bowhunting? If you are interested in getting involved with bowhunting, first start by joining an archery club. The DPI Game L...icensing Unit works with many reputable bow hunting organisations that are approved to conduct hunter education and training courses on its behalf. Many of these organisations are dedicated archery clubs that provide important training, mentoring, information and advice to both new and novice hunters and experienced archers. Many clubs offer 3D competitions, range shoots and coaching as well as club hunting trips for their members. It is highly recommended that new and novice bowhunters join a DPI Approved Hunting Organisation (AHO) and learn and practice the essential skills required to be an ethical bowhunter. Being a member of an AHO is a requirement to obtain a Restricted Game Hunting Licence to hunt on public land in NSW. You can find a list of Approved Hunting Organisations on our website - https://www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/hunting/clubs-and-associations
