07.01.2022 In all this rain, it can feel like you're constantly adding chemicals to your pool and fighting to to keep the water healthy. Rather than feel like you're throw...ing good money after bad, here are some simple ways to save yourself time and unnecessary expense: 1) If you're expecting lots of rain, add extra chlorine to your pool before it starts. 2) Turn off the pump while it's raining. This lets the chemicals sink to the bottom of the pool rather than circulating through the rain water. 3) If your pool is too full, always siphon extra water off the top before turning the pump back on. This way you'll remove the fresh water, not the chemicals. 4) Do your water test after running your pump, and keep your water balanced. It's always cheaper to avoid a problem than to recover a green pool!
