19.01.2022 Forbes Canassist members received a very pleasant surprise whilst at the Bedgerabong picnic races on Sat. 13th Feb. Members of the Elliot family, descended from the Elliots of "Ercildoune" Forbes, who were holding a reunion at the races, made an impromptu collection and presented $200 to Canassist. 17.01.2022 Canassist Forbes would like to acknowledge the following organisations for their support. Pictured below is Bianka Buckmaster, Jacinta Welsh, Nicole Hocking and Sarah Todd from the Forbes branch of the Commonwealth bank presenting a cheque for $500 to members of Canassist Forbes. Second photo is members of Forbes Shire Council staff presenting a cheque for $2750 to Canassist being the proceeds from fundraising at their recent annual Picnic Day. Third photo is Wayne Richards... from Club Forbes presenting a cheque for $2295.30 to Helen Westwood and Maree Schrader from Canassist. This was the proceeds from their community club raffles. Donations such as these are allowing Canassist to continue providing assistance to Forbes and district people undergoing treatment for cancer in what has been a difficult year for fundraising. 17.01.2022 Once again Club Forbes have shown what great supporters they are of Forbes Canassist with their club community grant of $2235 to Canassist. Forbes Canassist are deeply appreciative of their generousity particularly in these difficult Covid times. Club Forbes have been, and continue to be great supporters of Canassist and the work we do and we sincerely thank them.

13.01.2022 Forbes Canassist are extremely grateful with the recent donation of $2000 from the Forbes Motor Show committee. Pictured are :- Murray Field, John Schrader, Maureen Field and Maree Schrader (2nd right) being presented with the cheque by Jill Kay and Barry Read from the Motor Show committee. Donations such as this allow Forbes Canassist to continue providing assistance to Forbes residents undergoing treatment for cancer, particularly as our normal fundraising avenues are shut down at present due to Covid 19. Forbes Canassist thanks the Motor Show committee for their generous donation.
08.01.2022 A huge thank you to the Forbes CWA evening branch for their donation of $650 to Canassist Forbes. The donation was from the sale of facemasks that the CWA evening branch members made. 06.01.2022 Each year Cenwest Tours donate the proceeds of their Christmas lights bus tours to Canassist Forbes. 01.01.2022 AN EASY WAY TO DONATE TO CANASSIST Commencing on 22nd Feb. Forbes canassist will become a donation partner on the Forbes return and earn vending machine in Sam st Forbes. This means that anyone using the machine from then will be able to donate their proceeds directly to canassist Forbes by pushing the appropriate button on the vending machine. Forbes Canassist will be a donation partner for 6 months from 22nd Feb. until 22nd Aug.... We hope you will consider this and help CanAssist continue to provide assistance to Forbes and district residents living with and/or receiving treatment for cancer.
