23.01.2022 Hi belters, just a reminder there’s no choir tonight, but if you’re up for a sing, come down to The Victoria Bathurst tonight from 7pm for the first of the rock karaoke nights where you can jump up and belt out a rock tune played LIVE by a live band! It’s gonna be so much fun, so come on down!

20.01.2022 Hi belters! There will be NO CHOIR THIS WEDNESDAY the 6th of March as we are gearing up for our album launch which is taking place this weekend! We are absolutely flat chat getting everything ready to go and want to make sure our voices are in tip top shape, so we hope you understand! 19.01.2022 Hi belters! Well another school term is almost up which means we're back for another workshop!! Yay!! We were originally looking at the weekend of the 28th, but due to an overwhelming amount of unavailabilities we have now decided on SUNDAY OCTOBER 6th! 12-3pm at Empire Arts Music in the George st Plaza. PLEASE let us know in the comments below or via the canbeltos email if you are able to make the date, we would LOVE to see you all there! Same as last time, we will be singin...g a handful of new and old songs, some new warm ups and then will have a little afternoon tea afterwards. THIS SUNDAY the 7th of July we will be running a CAN BELTOS WORKSHOP from 12-3pm at Empire Arts Music on George street (in the George st plaza / the alleyway next to The Kings Hotel). We’ll be doing a few fun warm ups and a handful of new songs and would love to see all your familiar faces, but also some new ones too! It’s $10 to come along and if you would like to stick around for afternoon tea and a catch up afterwards, bring along a plate of something to share if you wish As always, no experience necessary, just a love of singing!! We’ve got another great song for y’all this week, it’s by Dan Auerbach and is called ‘Waiting On A Song’ - super cute lyrics and really fun to sing (the film clip has some adult references at the beginning so skip to 1.15 for when the song actually kicks in! Or watch it, cause its kinda fun too!). We’ll also be going over our warm up, ‘Dotted Line’ and be adding some harmonies and bits and pieces to our song from last week, ‘Shining In The Distance’ as well. 10.01.2022 Hey Belters! We're SO excited to see and sing with you all THIS SUNDAY the 6th down at Empire Arts Music in the George street Plaza from 12-3pm! We'll be doing a handful of super fun new and old songs and giving this one a crack too from Ben Lee's pub choir sessions last month! Entry is just $10 in the guitar case and we will put on a little afternoon tea as well if anyone wants to bring a plate. Please comment below or send us an email if you can make it! 07.01.2022 Hi belters! We have a favour to ask! Sophie and Michael Carpenter are putting together a film clip next week here in Bathurst for a project MC is working on where he is "updating" some 1927 songs for a tribute album (the Australian band who had some massive hits in the 80s). Soph has done a cover of one of their biggest hits and so they are now putting together a video shoot. What we are looking for is people (mostly couples, but we'll happily take some singles too) to come a...nd sing along to the song. It will be next Tuesday 23rd (the day after Easter Monday) at the Bathurst Uniting Church Hall (across the road from BMEC) - and there will be snacks! You wouldn't be needed for long and all it would be would be a few shots of you singing along to the song and then some other fill in shots. Feel free to share this post with anyone you think may be interested and comment below or PM myself or Michael if you're keen to be involved, and we will send you through some more info and let you know what song it is etc! 06.01.2022 Hi Belters! Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow night at Empire Arts Music from 6-7pm for another week of singing together! This week we will be singing a beautiful song by Lindsay Lou & The Flatbellys: an amazing band from Michigan and Nashville who we had the absolute honour of supporting in Katoomba at the beginning of the year. This week we will be learning a new warm up song from an amazing Aussie duo called Mama Kin Spender, and their song ‘Dotted Line’. Check it out at the link below! Lots of super fun layers and harmonies in this one! Then we will be having a sing of ‘Lighthouse’ by The Waifs (another amazing Aussie band who we saw play here in Bathurst a few weeks ago and have been massive fans of for ages!).
