24.01.2022 We are thrilled to announce that the Stables Tea Rooms at the Canberra Hotel will be opening on Wednesday the 15 July at 7am. We will be offering beautiful home made cakes, slices biscuits and light lunches. We continue to support local businesses with artisan breads from 1816 bakery and local coffee supplier - Koffee Pirates! We will be open 7am to 4pm Wednesday to Saturday. All Covid Safe regulations are in place. We also have a range of antiques and collectables available to buy.

07.01.2022 Still within budget and looking fabulous.. Stage 1 of our reconstructed Gothic Fernery will serve as a magnet to our Victorian gardens. The budget variation wa...s approved through the contracts committee by Mayor Ben Taylor, Cr Harris and Tillet and hence ... this project is still on target for delivery of stage one. The friends of the gardens have lobbied long and hard, in fact over 20 years to achieve this wonderful outcome and I congratulate them for their patience and commitment to protecting our Nationally listed attraction. This will be a wealthy and healthy contributor to our Ballarat community and business as we move out of COVID restrictions, attracting visiting friends and relatives to an affordable day out in our gardens.
