05.01.2022 English as an Additional Language implementation support program From 2021, all government and Catholic schools will be required to implement the new English as... an Additional Language (EAL) curriculum as part of the Victorian Curriculum F10. To assist teachers to transition to the new EAL curriculum, the VCAA has been providing a comprehensive program of professional learning webinars, which is set to continue into Term 4, 2020 and beyond. Developed with the Department of Education and Training, Catholic Education Commission Victoria, Independent Schools Victoria and VicTESOL, the program has been designed to enable teachers to select webinars relevant to their setting, prior knowledge and experience. Six of the nine webinars in this program have already been held. Registrations remain open for the final three webinars for 2020. Recordings from the initial six webinars have been published and can be accessed through the EAL Resource webpage.
