23.01.2022 BREAKING NEWS!!!!! December Presidents Shoot is open to all states (except VIC)BREAKING NEWS!!!!! December Presidents Shoot is open to all states (except VIC)

23.01.2022 I guess, being a female athlete in a sport that doesnt get a lot of recognition is difficult - but I really feel like its an advantage for me... Being t...hat under the radar person from an under the radar state means that your limits are set by your own expectations - you can go out there and perform incredibly well and just take everyone by surprise. Were stoked to welcome to the Tassie Athlete family, archery athlete and hometown hero Sarah Haywood. While often one of the only females at the Hobart Archers range in southern Tassie, Sarah wouldnt have it any other way. Theres this expectation that you have to move to Brisbane to be successful, which isnt necessarily the case. The results also back up her point - as the 2018 Australian Open champion has competed in the depths of the night in Las Vegas as well as mixing it with the best at the recent Tokyo 2020 Test Event. ... and while the sport and Sarahs achievements dont get their due recognition, were humbled to be able to share a small part of the journey so far, as well as her future ambitions and insight into why she thinks all athletes can learn from the sport of archery - and make every shot count. Full feature video, photos and article - all live now at https://www.thetassieathlete.com.au/athletes/sarah-haywood #thetassieathlete See more

21.01.2022 National Indoor Championships Cancelled This decision wasnt taken lightly, however, due to the numbers involved and with it anticipated not all states wi...ll have lifted all restrictions by mid-July, the decision was taken to give everyone as much notice as possible. We will be facilitating an alternative national competition once restrictions permit later in the year (hopefully in late August/September 2020). This will be designed along a Club Challenge style event where archers and clubs can compete in a national competition in their own environment. More details on this to follow. 12.01.2022 Road to recovery for archery Many State Governments across Australia now allow some training and club based activities to resume. Each state has set con...ditions and limits for clubs to strictly follow. Once permitted and as each state allows, Archery Australia will be restarting competitions in the following steps: QREs will be allowed to be registered and conducted when all states allow at least 20 people to participate at a venue and Sport Australia has declared that level 3 has been reached. As these events affect National ranking lists and team selections they will not be conducted until all RGBs can participate. Once the State Governments and Sport Australia have allowed full competition to resume then state-based tournaments can once again be registered with Archery Australia. National level events will then be considered for recommencement. However, this will most likely not happen before 2021. This is a slow gradual process and we appreciate your patience and understanding.
