20.01.2022 Japanese Garden Excursion Line 4 & 5 Japanese students went on a Japanese garden tour at the Embassy of Japan on Tuesday 13th Oct. and Thursday 15th Oct. Thanks to the most recent rain, the traditional Japanese garden was full of spring flowers and fresh green leaves. We also met one of the embassy staff who used to study Japanese at our college many years ago. It was fantastic!

16.01.2022 Yesterday our Girls Futsal team played in the ACT Colleges Grand Final against Lake G and we were so close but we lost by 1 goal. Funnily enough in the round games we beat Lake by 1 goal so they were pretty happy to get us back. The girls all played their hearts out in a very close match and should be congratulated. Laura calls them 'The Dream Team' because they were such a pleasure to have for the futsal season. Ella B, Hayley T-Y, Sharon C, Amelia M, Teah H, Nina K, Tara F, Erin F and Charlotte K.

10.01.2022 This week we come together to celebrate Naidoc Week 2020. Always Was. Always will Be. The 2020 National NAIDOC Week theme has been developed to shine a focus on the length of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander occupation of Australia. In our narratives Aboriginal people talk of continuous occupation of being here when time began, we are part of the Dreaming past, present and future. Anthropologists and archaeologists have dated our sites to being hundreds of thousands... years old, in fact recording some of these sites as being the oldest on this planet. #actpublicschools We have activities every day this week. Today we will enjoy a BBQ and some music with Darren Rix and a few students in the CC Cares Boulevarde at lunchtime. 10.01.2022 ADHS STEM visit A number of female students from Alfred Deakin High School who are passionate about participating in STEM education visited our college on Thursday, 5 November 2020. They had an opportunity to look at what is offered at Canberra College in the areas of Science, Mathematics, Design and Information Technologies. The teachers in these areas informed the students about the available choices and showcased our current students’ work. The ADHS students found the experience useful to fine-tune their subject choices and get familiar with the opportunities and expectations at our college.
